    I bought this product as a gift for a friend, whose CD/DVD drive in her HP laptop had broken. The sales clerk at Best Buy advised us that buying the external drive was cheaper than having the drive of the laptop repaired, & he was right! It was a substantial cost savings, and my friend is enjoying the efficiency of this external drive.
