Bought this to install software on a Macbook Pro (without CD drive). Bought it on sale for $20 and was exactly what I needed. It looks nice on a desk too.

A good CD/DVD player/writer for use with a laptop. I use for data storage and the speed is quite acceptable. Haven't found any negatives after a months use.

Awesome product for the money never used it or open the box took the computer back and it too and got a different computer with the built-in

Works great and runs pretty quiet. I have not tried burning any disks yet, I've only used it for watching movies and transferring files from cd to computer.

You have to purchase the software after 30 days or you can't use the DVD player at all. Don't buy.

It runs great on Windows 10, no issues. Even though the box doesn't say it's compatible to Windows 10 but it is.

Still working on learning to use this product. Checked product reviews and most were very favorable. Looking forward to using this to the max!

Not the fastest or best drive out there but does the job for the price and i'm happy w/ my purchase.

Mainly got this because my laptop does not have a built in CD/DVD drive. So far, I haven't had any issues with discs not reading or writing.

Did not need to review other comments. The brand name recognition was good enough. Had no problem connecting them to my laptop. Sound quality is excellent.

Worked OK with Win10 HP convertible tablet with no optical drive. Accompanying software did not work.

Very helpful because I have a netbook and an Ipad that does not have a CD-DVD. I have many learning cds that I was unable to play. The price was GREAT!!!

I didn't think I needed to splurge on apple superdrive for my new iMac. The only thing is it's black and not silver. Otherwise, it plugs in and works.

When we hooked it up to our device it kept installing, reinstalling and uninstalling the same software that was for some reason necessary to read a disc in the drive. Instructions didn't indicate any of this would happen. I managed to get the files I needed, but instead of them showing up in a normal fashion I had to get the files through My Computer and extract them. Not in any specific order, either. they all just plopped onto my desktop. no bueno.

Installing is a bit challenging but after it is installed it makes things much more interesting- espically if you want to watch a dvd or play a game

PC had no DVD drive. I looked at options on BEST BUY site and narrowed my search to two choices. Made decision at the store. Very happy with operation.

Does what it says. Easy to use. Slim, light and portable. Really easy on the wallet. If you need an external drive this is the one to get.

Needed a new external storage drive for transferring and storing large amounts of data. This was inexpensive and does what I need it to do.

This external works well for my wife's laptop which has no internal optical drive. Now, she can utilize CDs and DVDs whenever she wants.

Got this item so I could put all my CDs on my computer and then onto my phone. It is lightweight and reliable. I would strongly recommend this product.
