I bought this as a replacement drive for my laptop. It works great for what it is - not anything super special, but gets the job done.

Installed straight out of the box with no problems. Software seems to be suitable. Only issue found is it does not like to autorun. Dvds.

Great buy. I have a laptop that doesn't have a disk drive. It's slim so it doesn't take up much space and it's incredibly convenient.

It does what it's supposed to. However, it is rather loud. The design is nice and pretty thin.

You can't go wrong with Neil Diamond his music continues to be the best. The song about prayers is just beautiful will bring tears to your eyes

Bought for use with a new Asus Windows 10 laptop I also purchased at same time. Plug 'n Play worked as advertised. No issues so far.

It was really slow on downloading and ripping music over to my laptop it got the job done just felt it took awhile

Just RIGHT for my laptop. My laptop DIDN'T come with a CD drve, BUT this was recommended. It is sleek, convenient & can be detached if needed.

My Acer Aspire|V5 has no internal CD-RW drive so this was an inexpensive and efficient option for me.

My laptop does not have a disc drive. All I needed was a way to overcome this problem; this does just that. Therefore, I am happy.

I purchased this to go along with my net book. it is just what I needed to complete my system. I haven't used it yet, but plan to do so soon.

CD rewrite external drive works excellent. Copied information to and from cd's with ease.

Personally, here is the problem I experienced: After one load installation disk (enclosed with the purchase), one is given ONLY PAID choices to read the movies or music. So far I could not overcome this problem, and I do not use this DVD Reader/Writer because U do not want to pay extra for something, which other people get free of charge. May be it is just my ignorance, but I can not use this device for free.

My new computer did not come with DVD player so purchased this player based on other reviews. It is small, efficient and was a great value.

I recently got sent training CDs and the new Windows computer did not have a CD drive. On occasion smaller businesses still are using CDs.

I am satisfied with this product; however, I did not realize that I would need to download a media player in order to play dvd's.
