It reads discs

But, it comes with an installation disc for burning software and I couldn't get it to install on the new (win10) Dell Inspiron (purchased together). It's OK.

The eject button didn't work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's pretty unusable as when a DVD is in the drive and the eject is pressed it doesn't stop and eject the CD. Basically I have to unplug it from my computer then replug it back then and quickly push the eject button to have a chance to get my DVD back.

This one has been nothing but issues. I ended up having to download a third party software to get it to work. The internet makes it sound like it is a Windows 10 issue.
