I had to return my Samsung Note 7 because of the recall, and after a month and a half of research it came down to the LG V20 or the Pixel XL. I am a loyal Google, Android OS, and Samsung Note user, having to hand over my Note 7 (which would've been the best smartphone of 2016) was devastating for me. However, after weeks of research I decided that I still needed the "phablet" smartphone, and Apple doesn't come close in comparison with the tools Google has stock in their OS and compatibility with cross platform use. The Pixel XL seemed to be the right choice for me since I was no longer going to have my S Pen, and it was being launched out of the box running Nougat 7.1with Google Assistant. Then I held both the LG V20 and the Pixel XL. The second screen on the V20 is ultimately what won me over. I may have lost my S Pen, however I wasn't willing to give up my second screen option, nor was I willing to give up 1G of RAM just to gain it back on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The V20 came out of the box with Nougat 7.0, however I can still dictate my calender, messages, etc. without Google Assistant. This phone is a beast! It has pretty much the same features as the Note 7, I do miss the AMOLED screen, S Pen, and Samsung's user interface, however for the features I lost LG has some pretty neat features in their interface that made the transition less "tragic". Being able to easily preset my V20's settings for different places I go is a pretty awesome feature, Hi-Fi Quad DAC is truly amazing, and being able to transfer my settings, files, and presets from my Note 7 to my V20 with LG's data transfer app saved my life. The camera is great, the Pixel did have a slight advantage though. Noise cancellation, the option to make call clarity even more clear is brilliant, expandable memory, replaceable battery, fast charging, USB 3.0, it's a wonderful phone for work, and play. Only flaw is it's not waterproof. It'll take falls like a champ, however it does not like water.

I'm coming from a S6 Edge. I wanted a bigger screen and the 7 was just to similar to what I had. Then the Note 7 was gone. Started hearing good things about the V20 so I watched and read over 30 previews and reviews. So after liking what I read I picked it up release day. I will be the first to say it is very hard to come from Samsung to a new brand. My last 3 phones were Galaxy's. I knew I had 14 days to try this phone out before I could return it. Well that wont be happening as this phone is terrific. It seems all the little things I liked on my Galaxy are here for the most part. The screen is way better than I thought it would be and is outstanding in the sun. I held it up in the sun today with the S6 next to it and the V20 blows it away. I never thought I would see a cell phone in the sun but now I can. I'm a music nut. Metal mostly. Prog Metal, Death Metal and what not. If music is your thing then this is your phone as it has a high end DAC chip inside making music sound incredible !! It even comes with high end Bang & Olfson H3 ear buds worth $179. I didn't like the LG launcher but I also don't like Samsung's either. I use Next Launcher on all my Android phones.Best $15 you'll ever spend as you can download the launcher to as many devices you own with just the one purchase. LG also lets you use NFC to transfer everything you want from the Galaxy. It also has a second screen. A sliver at the top of the screen that's always on even when the phone is in it's sleep mode. It shows your notifications such as emails and texts. Plus other quick pick apps like WiFi and flashlight. You can personalize the phone too with your signature at the top. You type in your name and it puts it at the top of the screen in script form. The camera is also great with it's laser focus and the awesome wide angle lens. I have to mention the battery. It lasts me almost 2 days. I have never had a battery last me this long before. It uses USB 3 and it charges super fast. It doesn't have wireless charging. But I never used mine on my Galaxy's because I use cases with magnetic plates for my magnetic window mounts in my car and those interfere with the wireless charging. I'm a power user as I use the phone for work. I deliver payroll and I use an app for that for every delivery and it tracks my deliveries with GPS too. And this phone is up for the all day tasks no problem. For any feature I missed I found an app for. With the power button on the back I found it hard to switch off the screen while the phone was on the windshield mount so I downloaded a screen off button in the app store. Now I just touch the little button on the screen and it shuts off the screen instantly. And I wanted certain stuff to wake up the phone on the lock screen and got an app for that too. So there you go, my two cents worth of a review. After reading this watch a few YouTube vids and hold the phone yourself. I'm sure you can judge it with your own eyes. I'm glad I took the chance on it. You will too

I've always been a huge fan of Samsung devices and was previously considering the note 7, but we all know how that turned out. So, with my addiction to large phones, I had to look elsewhere. I was a bit skeptical of the LG V20 at first, since I haven't had any experience with LG, but I have been pleasantly surprised with the quality of this phone. I love it! I had the Samsung note 4 for years and enjoyed it, but this phone is definitely a step up from that. It's very simple in design and has been very fun to use. The battery life is the most notable improvement. I am able to stream YouTube for hours and hours now without being tied down to a power outlet. Highly recommended this phone to anyone looking for a great phone with great specs.

I grew tired of AT&T and their high-priced low data plans. When Sprint and Best Buy offered me basically $600 to switch on an unlimited plan for a lot less money per month, it was a no-brainer.
I had a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for over two years, and while I do miss the stylus, the LG v20 makes up for it in many ways.
It has the best camera on any cell phone I've seen yet, the screen is fantastic, it's a light phone, and I love the second screen on the top of the phone.
This is a very well-thought-out cell phone. If you have a Samsung now, or even an iPhone, do yourself a favor and check out the LG v20. I absolutely love it.

It took awhile to figure this phone out with all of it's apps. Went from IPhone to this, so some things do not work as well to me. Seems like a lot of unnecessary stuff already on the phone. Still can't figure some of it out. Do not like how the photos are stored. Also, do not like that I cannot get pictures from IPhone users. All of the problems that I have are already on online forums. Seems to be a Google thing. Be sure to read all the reviews before you purchase. Things that were so easy on IPhone not easy on here. The camera is excellent, though. So much better than the IPhone!

After serious research and hands on. I settled on upgrading my HTC One M7 which was over 3yrs old to the LG V20. Hadn't seen a android device worth getting til now. Battery life is exceptional. Averaging between 16-20hrs with moderate to heavy use. Games, facebook, talking, surfing, texting...etc. 1st LG phone and impressed. Only downside is the price, which in my case was supplemented with a free tv and $200 gift card ....(-:

The LG V20, in my opinion, is a very good phone. It has a good camera and good specs. However, LG's software for this phone is downright disappointing. The secondary display has issues, the entire phone randomly crashes, the battery has endurance issues, and the stock camera app has quality issues. The hardware aspects of this phone are great, but the software aspect is just disappointing.

I did a lot of research on which phone to buy. My work requires a lot of photography, The reviews sang praises regarding this phones photographic capabilities. And they were right. Fantastic! The battery lasts longer than any phone I've had and charges quickly. It's sleek, the screen is big, and it has enough capacity so there's no worry about running out of storage. Highly recommended for everyone.

I liked the hardware of the phone but just couldn't deal with the software. This was supposed to be my Note 7 replacement, but that was shot lived (2days). The software is a complete 180 from Samsung's TouchWiz

The performance, video quality, setup, and transition from the Realm of Samsung has been an all around great experience. I had read several cautionary reviews about LG in the smartphone space, but I think they have finally evolved and arrived with the V20. While not the least expensive option in the array, this phone really impresses.

This phone performs awesomely, I get through most of the day with heavy usage. I wish the phone was waterproof, but glad the battery can be replaced. Happy to have expandable storage. Camera works great, UI is snappy and very responsive. Quick charge works great, regular and wide angle lens take great pictures.

Owned the Note 7 before it was recalled by Samsung. Saw the LG V20 and researched the phone on line and found it to be as close to note 7 as i could find..after using the phone for a month i am very happy with the purchase. It has a great camera and software and is very customizable.

Upgraded from a Note 3 that just wasn't cutting it in the speed and power aspect for me anymore. Couldn't pass up the deal from Best Buy for $299 for a new V20. Great features, speed, and power. Little learning curve going from Samsung to LG but have gotten used to it.

Like allot of others I was forced to choose a Note7 replacement. Decided to go with LG for the 1st time, so far couldn't be happier. Beautiful screen, fast and better battery life than previous Note phones I had.
Also love there is no curved edge screen and glass back.

Love this phone. Had it for 2 1/2 years now, and it still works like a champ.
The replaceable battery really comes in handy during long days. If you can get your hands on one and you're an Android person, you'll love this phone.

Hey the turnoff on the back. It's weird I'm used to the side button especially for light even to see the screen. I miss the stylus from The Samsung Note. I bought this because battery came out and I can replace the battery if I need to.

Great phone with great features. But screen is not very durable. Recommend using a screen protector. I will be going back to the Samsung Galaxy line for my next upgrade. Still not a bad phone just happier with Galaxy phones.

Best Buy always has the BEST deals when it comes to getting a new cell phone. The service providers can not touch or come close to the special offers they have. I got $400 best buy credit just for getting a phone I was already interested in.
