Great alternative to the Note 7

While it wasn't my first choice the Note 7 recall left me scrambling for an alternative. I've owned a couple of LG phones in the past and they were all pretty solid. As for the V20, it is great. The phone features solid performance, outstanding camera and audio. While the screen isn't as brilliant as the Note 7 it is crisp and does not feature the useless edge seen on the aforementioned Samsung. Pluses; 1) LG has not shied way from the removable battery which comes in handy when they begin to degrade over time or in Samsung's case meltdown 2) The second screen, while it seemed a mere novel concept using it actually makes me wonder how it is others are not offering it as well. Being able to check the time while in a game or see your notifications while using an app is great and the added functionality such as having easy access to utilities like the flashlight is very handy.
All in all the phone has been superb. While I miss my stylus (S-pen) the LG delivers in ways I hadn't considered. Well worth the purchase.

Performance is good with plenty of memory. Screen resolution is great and long battery life. I also like the tiny toolbar at the top that is always available even when the phone is locked. Only downsides so far - extra negative space at the top and bottom of screen where newer phones' screens cover the face from edge to edge. The charging cable is USB C and not the standard micro USB on most android phones.

The Best Smart Phone I Have Owned

I really cannot find anything to complain about with the LG V-20. I absolutely love this phone. The battery life is stellar, even with moderately heavy use. The recharge is very fast when you use the included wall wart. Screen is brilliant, OS runs smooth as silk. Camera is great, not what I bought the phone for but was pleasantly surprised with the results.
One tiny thing - a bit of distortion on the speaker against your ear when the call volume is at 100%, if you drop the call volume a notch or so, it goes away. Maybe my unit, but so minor an issue I am not going to go through the hassle of return.

I bought this phone as a replacement for a Note 4 (with ongoing gps issues). This is the only comparable phone with expandable memory and user-replaceable battery. The phone works well. The screen is very bright (more than the Note 4), though at night, this is an issue since it cannot dim as much as my Note 4. Overall, I am happy I purchased the phone and would buy it again.

I love this phone:
Big Screen
Only phone on market that still has a removable battery, but the battery life is much better than my LG G4 had.
Back is flat so the phone doesn't rock when using it while it's sitting on a desk or table like the G4 did.
Only down side is that it uses a type C connector rather that the micro USB so I had to change out my chargers.

Allow me to preface this review by disclosing that I ditched Apple many years ago, and switched my loyalty to Samsung. In fact, I had an S6 Active for years, and decided that it was time to make a change. I took a leap of faith and sprung for LG's V20, and I could not be happier. This device sets the standard in my book. With removable battery and storage options, alongside excellent performance capabilities and solid audio, video and photo equipment onboard, this was clearly the device for me. I am confident that you will enjoy it as well!

Good Reliable Phone, great camera

The reason that I got this phone was because of the camera, but it also helped that it accepted SD cards. A lot larger than I anticipated, but that's not an issue. Definitely a two handed phone, at least for someone with mid-small hands like myself, and it's also not the greatest battery life. But it usually gets through a day and it charges quickly enough that it's not a huge deal.
Otherwise, it
It's quick, responsive, reliable, does everything I need it to and more. The little extra screen on top has proven much more handy than I had thought it would be and the camera settings have been everything I'd hoped they would be.
Do note it charges using an (included) Type C usb, so if you don't have one around the house yet you may wanna get a spare.

I love this phone due to it's size & amazing duel camera system. It zooms better than other phones & the replaceable battery means that you won't need to scrap the phone when the battery is shot.

I have enjoyed the V20 so far. I have always been a Note fan and may be again but if you want a smooth running large screen it is a great option. The audio converters are awesome and some camera features are good. I picked this phone above iphone 7 plus and Pixel and I'm glad I did.

This phone has a large screen and is easy to navigate. I like where the "on/off/sleep" button is located...I never have to worry about accidentally hitting it. It has many of the same features my recalled Note 7. Camera seems great although I haven't used it much yet.

Got a bad phone the 1st time around. It did the restart on it's on thing. It would freeze and just be unresponsive. Swapped it out and it runs pretty much perfect now. I do recommend going with another launcher though. LG Home launcher kind if sux. Other than that it's a awesome device.

I'll admit I was leery going from the Note 7 and at least 5 years of Samsung notes to a new brand. If a high end camera and sound are important to you this is the phone to have. The audio when connected to HDAC headphones is just unbelievable. Camera is fantastic as well. The rear button took a little adjustment time but Im now a fan. The LG footprint is a little odd I guess is my only issue.

This phone is perfect, love the back power button and the always active mini screen at the top. The phone is super fast and the sound quality with music is amazing.
My only qualm is with the camera, Samsung cameras got me spoiled and this just isn't up to par.
Still a fantastic phone.

Great update to lg v series. Improved on an already very competent v10. Most notably the battery life is incredible. I have had every type of smartphone and this one is the best by far.
