I fell in love with Dontnod's first installment in Life Is Strange within the first few minutes. Before the Storm is a great prequel that fills in the story of Rachel Amber while filling Chloe's shoes. There is lots of fan fare, connections to the first game, and new characters to enjoy (and perhaps hate). Instead of the time rewind physic in the first game, there is a backtalk side-game in certain situations, which fits Chloe's personality. Instead of taking pics for the trophies, you are tagging/graffiti. There are only 3 episodes, but they seem to run longer than that of the first LIS game. Being a fan of the first game, the deluxe was a must. An additional episode with young Max and Chloe. The bonus outfits, soundtrack, and art book are cool as well. I'm a crazy fan and own it on Xbox One and PS4. I can't wait for Life is Strange 2 this fall, and Captain Spirit is filling the LIS hole.

Life is Strange Before the Storm is the prequel to 2015's Life is Strange. In this game you don't have any wacky time manipulation powers. You are just Chloe Price with her spunky quick wit and back talking attitude. You get to see the relationship between her and Rachel Amber and why Rachel was so special and important to Chloe. It's a wonderful game to experience. The only thing that makes it hard to play is knowing everything that happens in Life is Strange which may either hinder you from enjoying it as much and influence decisions you make with certain characters. I really feel this game should have came before but it's still nice to play this. There are beautiful moments and lots of feels that will keep you invested. If you haven't played a Life is Strange game I HIGHLY recommend you play this first before Life is Strange.

Great story driven game. A nice addition to the LIS series and a great story. Soundtrack included with a nice hardcover art book. Also an easy platinum for trophy hunters.

I just recently received this game and already in love with the story. I also love that it came with a soundtrack CD of the game and know anyone anticipating purchasing this game just to go ahead and purchase trust me you won't be disappointed

This is a great price for the bundle, especially because the game by itself costs about $20 anyways, so at $20 for this version, it's basically a steal. Comes with art book and soundtrack.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm is a prequel to Square Enix's Life is Strange. If you haven't played either title, the game is similar to a Telltale Games Walking Dead or Batman, where the choices you make in one episode are carried over to the next episode. I personally enjoyed Before the Storm, since it gave good back story to the original title. My only gripe with Before the Storm is that there are only three episodes, whereas the original title featured five episodes.

This is the better choice for this game. You get really cool stuff and the game is nothing short plus you even get the original first game. Def worth the buy.

I bought this game on sale and I recommend it. It has a good story though the powers from the previous game are absent as this is a prequel.

Before the Storm is just as much of a weird, emotional rollercoaster as Life Is Strange was. It was cool to play as Chloe and see how she came to be the girl we met in the first game. This is a super easy game to play. In fact my one criticism is that the puzzles presented were often far too easy, certainly easier than the ones in the original LiS game. The story is excellent though.

The Life Is Strange games are wonderful, in my opinion. They have haunting, captivating storylines that make one thoroughly interested in the well-being of the main characters, and this prequel to the original Life Is Strange game was no different. We follow Max Caulfield's best friend Chloe Price on a adventure that happened before the previous story, as she meets a mysterious girl named Rachel Amber. Lots of adventure, intense situations, and little heartwarming moments. The addition of a few extra goodies in the game, such as the Farewell episode and the Mix Tape mode are awesome. Also this Deluxe Edition comes with an art book and a CD with songs from the game, which was really cool!

A very original story. Broken up into 5 episodes. Not much in gameplay but still highly recommend for people that casually play and enjoy great story telling.

If you enjoyed the original Life is Strange, then pick this one up. Although it is not quite as strong in narrative or originality from the first game, it definitely has some great moments. Play this while we wait for the true sequel.

It is a prequel that covers the story between Rachel and Chloe. It was great to play through it and would play through it again one day. The soundtrack is amazing too.

Enjoyed this almost as much as the original LiS. The first still ranks higher but this one was a nice look at what happened before the original game took place.

Enjoyed the first life is strange, was so excited to hear this one came out, and even more stoked that they will be having life is strange 2 very soon!

The Limited edition includes a good amount of physical and digital extras, so if you know you like the Life is Strange series it's worth the extra money

life is strange is a great game and this adds to it and cant wait for life is strange 2...but this isnt the first game more like prequel

I prefer the first Life is Strange, however Before The Storm was still a nice addition especially considering it was developed by different studio this time around.
