I found the movie rather interesting. The movie started off rather slow and I thought I would not be able to watch it. As soon as they were on the boat it became more interesting. The film had a great story line and the scenes were beautiful.

The movie try to show nature and personality. It is more that a survival story and it is not about friendship. This story is about faith. Director Ang Lee use all the tools he have to make this movie about a solitary young man not a boring one. It is narrated by both, young Pi and the Adult Pi, it uses music all the time so there is not space for uncomfortable silents and the rhythm of the scenes is fast. The result a very entertained film.

As my title says, this is a very original film/storyline. There is a lot of CGI but it is very well done and you begin to feel sympathy for these computer created animals because they seem so real. The story, at its core, is much deeper than it appears on the surface. It is about love, survival at any cost, and life after tragedy. A beautiful and entertaining film.

This a movie that has the power to compel the viewer to see life beyond the commonplace. The word Transcendent is entirely accurate. Few film experiences have done this so well- the arts of acting, setting, script, direction, cinematography, editing, and love from everyone involved make this a truly memorable experience. Please accept these humble opinions from someone who was moved by this film.

It was a good movie caused alot of emotion during the story telling and alot more when you realize the story is played out for his life events..Must watch but pay close attention to every detail..

The film is supremely spiritual in every frame, yet, if one is paying attention, it winds up as somewhat of a Trojan Horse in what it ultimate reveals about religion. I'm trying hard not to provide a spoiler here, but there are five words spoken by the adult Pi at the end of the film that viewers seem to miss that spell it out.

Life of Pi will likely find its way into the home video libraries of those who love films, and this was an excellent value for any size collection. In addition to being a technical tour de force, Life of Pi tells a gripping story that's part adventure and part coming-of-age, with philosophical questions throughout.

What a ride! The imagination of this beautiful story, could only be matched by it's amazing cinematography, and computer graphics! This twisting tale, will lead you from sadness to elation, through the imagination of the main character. Did it happen the way he said, or is it all symbology ? you decide...

There was a lot of the scenes such as the closeups where you could feel drawn into the movie. I could feel the emotion and awe of Pi's experience, his actions & reactions to everyting. I really enjoyed just sitting on my couch relaxed and watching it. I have seen it more than once, and will probably see it again.

Surprisingly good. So nuanced. Can watch it several times and keep getting new information that makes the story even more interesting. Usually don’t like movies with computer generated images but it worked so well to pull the viewer into the story. Well worth the purchase.

ill be honest. when i first saw the trailer for this movie i thought it was just dumb and boring. a boy at see with a tiger. cmon. but after watching the film on tv, i have changed my mind. its a great survival story and wonderfully acted. i highly recommend

Good movie! Interesting story line and great special effects. This DVD was bought to donate to a friend's charity that was collecting DVDs to provide to cancer wards in children's hospitals.

If you've read the book (and you loved it) -- You will love the movie! This movie is very similar to the book and has great animation. The storyline is great, the characters are well developed and the film is shot beautifully. Definitely a classic; great for all ages!

Ang Lee's excellent directing talent is on display in this movie that has great replay value. The previously unknown lead actor does a great job in a "Cast Away"-esque type of role and the visuals will stay with you long after the movie has finished.

I love how the story can actually mirror a real person's reality. However the spectacle of the sea and its creatures are "fantastic," and gives us an awesome perspective of the beauty and power of the sea.

As one character says, this story will make you believe in God (in a completely mystical and non-dogmatic way, which in my opinion is just what the world needs). I can't say enough about this movie. A masterpiece on every level.

I liked this emotional and thought provoking movie, because it had very good life lessons to be learned from it. I would recommend everyone to see it even if it is once so as to learn from it.

This is a visually beautiful film, with amazing special effects. The story is also compelling. It was a 3D movie in theaters, but is still visually stunning on home DVD/regular screen. It a movie to watch again and again.

Life of Pi is an awesome story about survival out at sea. The movie is safe for family watch... though some little kids may get bored or need extra explaining at the end. Really love the cgi scenes.

One of the best inspirationsl movies for me and my family. The cultural and religious dilemmas throughout the movie are great discussion starters for my family and friends. Put this movie on your list.
