Nicely Done Lifeproof!

Feels great in your hands, the mute/sound switch is greatly improved. Paired with a glass screen protector, this thing has a great look and keeps my 8+ safe. Will work with the 7+ as well.

We so apologize that the NEXT seemed a little tight on your phone, and that you felt returning it was your best option! The iPhone 7 Plus/8 Plus NEXT series was engineered to fit those two devices, and is intentionally designed to hug the phone snugly to ensure the case doesn't pop off during an intense drop. The unit does have to be very specifically installed in order for the mute switch to work seamlessly, so it's possible that the button was struggling due to an alignment issue. This still makes it a bit too large, so it doesn't fit. Will keep it for future use.

It comes with a little key to open the sides of it, but I still feel I had to get a little brutal with it to open. So I feel very insecure about opening it back up with my phone inside. I enjoy the life proof idea, but the lightning bolt port has a close latch that I feel adds pressure to a cable or dongle, subsequently adding pressure to the port itself. I have sadly had the lightning cable port go dead in previous iPhones, so I’m trying to reduce the stress on the port as much as possible. The case “clicks”, in the terms that because I’ve been brutal to it, there’s some space between the two pieces that don’t exactly align now and it makes noises. Kind of annoying but the safety it brings the phone is superior.
