This product is fantastic; I feel less stressed and worry alot less if I happen to drop the phone, or it gets wet at all. I haven't tried to dunk it in water, but I am confident it would be ok. All the major functions still generally work great, no interruption in signal; and set up was easier than I expected. The only reasons i did not give this product 5 stars are: sometimes the touch functions near the top or bottom of screen don't work in the case, you can only use the original style lightning cord, no adapters (I have a 30pin->lightning adapter and it doesn't work). And I worry that I will break the case/seal somehow when I need to remove the case. But those are small prices to pay for the overall ease-of-mind I get with this product.

This cover is slim and lightweight but has great protection. Phone has remained safe through several falls. Latch over charging port can be difficult to open.

Whatever you do, DO NOT BUT THIS CASE!! I purchased this case with the intent of it protecting my phone. I was completely wrong! I dropped my iphone with the case on and it cracked. It wasn't even a hard long fall, it was from about 4 feet which is not high at all! Please Please save yourself the money and heartbreak and just get an otterbox defender, it may not be waterproof but, at least you wont have a cracked screen. Very disappointed will be returning TODAY!!!!! If i could give this phone case 0 starts I would. DO NOT BUY!!! Now I have to pay 220 dollars for a replace phone! I even called Lifeproof and there customer service was just rude! She told me that, that is why they have the fine print on the back of the box stating that it may not do what it is supposed. So upset that they can market a phone case that can not even be protected from a light drop. Words cannot even describe how upset I am!

Case is easily put on phone and protects very well including from liquids. My daughter had to have the best protection, but it came with a high price--worth it if it protects her phone from any damage.

This case was definitely more than I wanted to spend ($89.99) but it is waterproof (salt or fresh water) and durable. I like how it is not bulky like my old otterbox and doesn't add a whole lot of weight. Another great feature is that you swipe the actual screen and not some plastic cover. I have trouble with sound/call quality when the case is on which gets annoying (end up having to open the cover to the USB port below the Home button to complete a conversation). Other than being a little pricey and some sound issues, this is a great product to protect your iPhone.

Pros: Not a bad case. Very light weight and thin. Snug when snapped together and is functional. Good texture, non slip. Cons: Although the case is designed to be water proof and other proof, it is extremely hard for the person you call to hear you. I have had to yell into the phone. Checked directions and phone was installed correctly. Had to remove protection over speaker to be able to be heard. Screen protector does not adhere to phone screen as some other brands. Too pricey for what you get, or I got a lemon. For what I paid. it's a keeper.

I bought the Lifeproof case for my 14 year old son's iPhone. I wasn't enthused with the price, as it seemed pretty extreme. Since my son has had 2 iPhones ruined by accidents with water, I went ahead and sprang for this case. I didn't have much faith in the case actually being waterproof, however, when we submersion tested it before installing the phone, I was surprised to find that it was completely dry inside. The case actually seems to be well designed, so I now have some level of comfort that my son will not have this phone ruined with water.

Very impressed with this case. It has been great to not worry about inadvertent drops into the water. I would like it a little better if the screen protector lay flat. But overall, a great case!

Being so thin and light of a case, at first I thought it was kind of cheaply built but after having my kids drop my iPhone 5s about 20 times I am wrong! Also while I won't test the waterproof claim it has so far held up to many spills and rain storms. I ride a motorcycle rain or shine and am not worried about this phone being damaged. The phone will occasionally run "hot" and now that it's summer I don't know how that will impact things but I think I may have a bad phone too... all in all I say if you're only buying one case this is the one.

Really does a great job protecting the phone. My only gripe is that the mic seems to get muffled and people can't hear you, but what can you expect for the amount of protection you get.

Very functional. Eases worries at the beach or poolside, plus getting caught in a rain storm, protecting the phone is already taken care of.

I let my daughter pick out a phone case. This alleviated her concerns about dropping her phone and breaking it while having a likeable appearance. It fits in her skinny jeans pocket!

Bought this to protect my 5 s since my dogs chewed up my "O" cover. I like the extra headphone extention cord and that it protects under water in case of accidental drop into liquid.

I am very good to my phone, but without the LifeProof I would have been buying a new phone every few months. You can use your phone, call or text, out in the rain (I've done). You can use your phone in the shower to listen to music (I've done). You can accidentally drop it on the ground and it's still in perfect shape (I've done). It is sleaker and skinnier than the OtterBox and easier to fit into your pocket. It's only a little bit more expensive than the OtterBox but it is an all around better product. Recommend it to everyone!!

Had the Life Proof for iPhone 4 and loved it, with one exception. The speaker / microphone didn't work great when the phone was in the case. They have fixed this issue for the iPhone 5. This case is great. I can take it to the pool during the summer, video my nieces swimming underwater, etc. And I'm a germaphobe, so it's great that I can wash it whenever I need to. An added bonus is that because the case keeps your phone 100% protected, it looks brand new when you take it out. Not a scratch or streak, no "oils" or dirt on it!

My daughter likes this case very much because it is not bulky and is water tight. Underwater pictures came out great and the phone survived. Great protection also.

Good and good-looking protection for my phone. I feel safe that if I should drop my phone it wont get too damaged. I've had my phone for over 2 years and it still looks new.

Good looking case and it is waterproof. Baulked at the price but when I took it canoeing, I was glad for the case. I could take pictures while others left their phones on shore.

This is a great product that provides unsurpassed protection to your iPhone while still keeking the overall size profile very small and comfortable. The inclusion of the headphone connector cover attached to the case make this nearly perfect. On the not so grat side, earphone normally provided by Apple fit perfectly, however, I normally use Bose earphones and have to always remember to look for the (provided) cable adapter in order for them to work. If the cover and hole for the earphone connection was bigger it could accomade other earphones without having to hunt for the adapter. nearly perfect product.
