This moving is surprisingly good! Most movies don't genuinely scare me anymore but this one certainly left me a little creeped out after it ended! I enjoyed this movie and if you are a fan of horror movies this is the perfect film to check out! Lights Out gave me the sense of realism that this would be possible and was not too far fetched and out there like a lot of films these days! Check this one out!

As far as modern horror is concerned, this movie is excellent. Cliches are not as prevalent as in most "trying to but can't hit the mark," horror. In the vein of classic horror films, Lights Out is a suspenseful thriller that adds the perfect balance of the supernatural and psychological. The end is actually good, and quite original. Watch this with your significant other or dog. Not alone.

Great movie, if scary movies are your preference you won't be disappointed, I suggest give this one a try. turn the volume up when your watching a scary movie so you can feel the cinema effects and those little noises that really make a scary movie. Overall great movie.

The reason for the interest in the film was for Teresa Palmer and she being in a thriller and not something dull. She is good in this movie and the movie has some scary moments that will leave you breathless. It is better to check out this movie with the lights on and in the daytime so you will not get so creeped out. Teresa Palmer should do more like these films.

Lights out was much better then I had anticipated. The movie had a great combination of suspense in addition to jump out of your seat moments in fright. Overall story was well written and didn't get the viewer lost due to the story losing momentum or ideas.

If you like watching over your shoulder at night at any unexpected noise in your home? Well, then prepare yourself for this movie. Particularly, with a decent audio system at a loud volume, the sound effects are so realistic that you might be tempted to stop the film and check your house for strangers. Prepare yourself to be frightened!!!!!! Highly Recommended.

The short film this got sprung from was a tight little thriller, now it is a full fledged feature. The reason for the 'Lights Out' is explained, which wasn't really needed, to me...but the cast really sells this one. Great scares and jolts keep you watching.

I've seen way better scary movies but none of my friends had seen this and I like scary movies so I figured I'd buy it. The price was okay but next time I'll look for more reviews before I buy another movie I don't have any info on.

I purchase about every horror movie that comes out and every once in a while I am pleasantly surprised by good acting, good continuity and a good script. Lights Out is such a movie. Haven't seen a 5 star horror movie in years so a four is pretty good.

I’m a huge fan of horror movies. Especially the movies produced and by James wan. Lights out is right up there with The Conjuring and Insidious category. It has a new fresh twist of this evil entity that can only appear and do harm in the dark but it can’t be in the light. If you like these type of movies then you should watch this one.

Just as entertaining as any of the Conjuring or Insidious movies. The films creepy ghost and well executed concept make this one a keeper. I see a possible franchise with this one as well. It seems everything James Wan touches turns to gold.

This spooky film was written grandly in my opinion. It brings up one of the three possibilities. Is it a haunted location, object or person? Taking a stand against the paranormal is the right thing to do. Test your family loyalty as well.

It was a good movie, but the ending was so stupid. Like how in the world can it end like this. Was really upset, but overall a good movie to have in your collection. Might want to wait til it gets cheaper, than its original price.

Finally a great original horror movie. Wished there was more special features on the Blu-ray. However, there are deleted scenes. I don't usually watch deleted scenes but I enjoyed these. There is a alternate/extended ending at the very end of the deleted scenes that is very cool. This film is a must watch for horror fans.

A Greek tragedy of a horror flick. Filled to the brim with familiar horror constructs in both story and character, but the core idea is unique enough and the insanely precise execution allow both to rise above such banalities.

I wanted to see this movie once I saw the short film that was the basis for this movie. Excellent movie and I would recommend it to anyone. The film had some creepy moments and it deserves a spot on any horror fan's shelf.

Movie still plays on a lot of old scare tactics typical in the genre. It doesn't mean that it is any less scary... If you have seen the short film this movie is based on, you'll understand why people were so excited about a full film adaptation. If you haven't seen the short film that launched this movie, go see it!

I'd seen the short film this was based on and was excited to hear it had been developed into a feature with James Wan. Seeing it in theaters, it was a pleasant surprise that delivered some good scares and atmosphere.

Well folks there is already a Lights Out 2 in the works and I for one am pretty happy about it because this terrific and spooky little film is extremely deserving of its own franchise. I've found myself recommending this one to folks a lot and no one yet has told me they didn't have fun with it. Worth a look.
