Took a little trial and error to find the optimum location. I put mine on an extension cord on top of a china cabinet to get better response. Very location sensitive, the location/signal software helps, Not exactly "plug and play". Needs a little tinkering with the software etc.

I am an IT Director and have Expert level experience with any computer/networking hardware. I originally made this purchase due to the fact that Cisco purchased Linksys several years ago. In hopes that some of their technology has found its way into the home products. This device is easy to setup, and even has a graph to show you the ideal location. Once I located the ideal location, I ran several tests. At my Router I have 150GB up and down. When connected through this Linksys device I was lucky (best case) to get 15 up and down with about a 40ms latency response. I expected some latency (20-25)ms but not what I was seeing. I then moved the device much closer with better but similar results. Performed a hard reset and started config all over, to receive similar results. POOR QUALITY PRODUCT. I returned it and purchased the new Google Mesh Network, and am now VERY satisfied.

This product did the trick -- right out of the box with a few adjustments of the attached antennae. Practical to use -- easy to connect to our wi-fi LAN. Reasonably priced too.

Great for extending wifi
