I received the AC1200 Amplify Wi-Fi Range extender in early May 2016 and have used it continuously (about 3 weeks) since it was installed. Setup was remarkably easy. It has performed reliably and a variety of devices including Smart TVs, tablets, smartphone and laptops have been used with it. All have connected without a struggle. My only complaint is that I would rather have a single SSID for the base router and range extender, but the instructions suggested that the range extender should have it's own unique SSID. The pass through power outlet is convenient, especially in older homes where the number of available outlets sometimes presents a problem.

First, I've never needed a range extender as I've not had a need, however with our new warehouse space, I figured I'd give one a try. I first found the strength of the signal prior to use to compare. This has done exactly as anticipated and I'd say has increased the range significantly. As we're walking around the complex I have complete connectivity and I'm very pleased. Thank you Linksys.

As a network professional, Best Buy provided me a free demo of this unit to install and test. Start to finish less than 5 minutes. In reality it took me longer to open the box, remove the product, and read the manual than it did to configure and have the product ready. The install process is, plug it in to an outlet, wait for the LED light to go solid (about 30 seconds for me), connect to the extender from any wireless enabled device, select your current SSIDs from their discovery list, enter the password(s) for your SSIDs, and save. It took me longer to type out this process than to do it. Dramatically improved wireless coverage and performance in the far corners of the second floor of the house. Great product + extremely easy setup = a winner.

Linksys RE6700 AC1200 AMPLIFY Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender I received this extender free for evaluation from Linksys. I was really looking forward to set it up but my work kept me away from it. Finally I was home and set it up, and to my dismay, for the first time ever I was disappointed with a Linksys product. First time when I plugged it in I was in a crammed location near my printer where I wanted better connection and was hoping to get a hard wired connection to my old XBox, and it was nearer to my wifi (which is also a Linksys product) but it showed a weak connection. I assumed it was because I could not open up both of it antennas wide. So I had to move it away to an open area, further away, with both antennas open and surely the connection worked. To make sure that it was truly a problem with the antenna, I closed the antenna at the same location and it showed weak connection. With both the antenna open the footprint for it becomes wider than I would like. I followed the setup as it suggested by connecting to the ip for setup. I set it up to use different SSID and after completing the setup, it restarted and I was able to see the new SSID but to my disappointment there was no internet connection. Restart did not fix it either. So I reset and tried again and still not luck. This was the first time ever that a Linksys setup did not work right out of the box for me. So I decided to reset and this time try to use same SSID as my wifi. The setup suggests against it, but it works that way too. With that setup, surely I was able to now see the SSID (same as my Wifi) with a stronger signal. I know it was not my wifi because I used to get only get 2 bars at that location. I connected to that wifi, and bingo, the connection worked, and it seemed fast and I was a happy camper. 2 days into my setup I soon realized an issue with my connections. Every now and then I would not get internet working or was slow. After some tinkering around I found that my connections don’t switch over from my main wifi to the extender seamlessly. So if I was connected to my extender and was further away from it but closer to my main wifi, the phone won’t switch over to my main wifi and will suffer a weak connection. Obviously with only 2 antennas v/s 6 on my wifi, it was very weak. So I had to reset my phone connection everytime for it to switch to the fastest network. Another issue I found is once I put too many devices (3 phones, Printer, Amazon Fire TV and Ipad) the connections were slow on simultaneous usage. So I turned off the extender and everything went back to normal. I tried setting up a separate SSID and it worked this time (I don’t know what was wrong first time) but then my phones and other roaming devices did not seamlessly switch over to the other SSID anyways. So again went back to using same SSID and only put two devices in that area on it and they are working fine. I have always been a Linksys user and really love their products but I am surely disappointed. I have not given up on the product yet and will keep tinkering with it. It could also be that my expectation from an extender is wrong or too much.

** NOTE: I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback ** I live in an older 3 story house with a big back porch on the back. We spend a lot of time outside but really wanted Wi-Fi to watch Netflix etc. My router (Linksys WRT 1900ACS) is on the 3rd floor on the front of the house so my signal has never worked outside at the back. BUT....the RE6700 Extender has solved the problem. I can watch Netflix on my phone, PC or smart TV on the back porch now. I was out of town when the product was delivered but it only took 5-6 minutes to do the setup (used my iPhone) and get everything connected. Could not have worked any better or been any simpler. So far it's worked great. Just wish I had done this earlier.

I received this product from Linksys in exchange for my honest review. My router is in the home office in the northeast corner of the house. Placed the RE6700 in the living room and have no problem receiving a strong signal on the patio, which is on the opposite corner of our home. I would also note that we have a brick home. Love it !!!!!

The Linksys RE6700 WiFi range extender is the easiest way to extend your WiFi signal to any dead areas in your home or office. The initial setup and connectivity could not be easier. Once you set it up you can forget it and enjoy the additional internet connectivity it provides. If you decide to move it to a new area, unplug it and move it to the new area, make sure the signal from the main WiFi device is within reach via the mobile app (Phone, Tablet or Laptop can be used) and plug it in a new outlet and Voila it is a new active WiFi area. I received the Linksys AC1200 WI-FI Amplifier free from Linkysy in return for my honest opinion. I live in a two story home that has my Router located on the second floor. My WI-FI reception on the first floor has been nonexistent in certain rooms. I was using two WI-FI extenders In order to have some WI-FI in those areas. After receiving the Linksys AC1200 Amplifier i was able to install the Amplifier with in a matter of minutes. Instructions were clear and concise. I am happy to say I now have excellent reception in all areas of my home, to include my outside deck and pool area. I am very happy with this produce.

I received this product free for a honest review. Got in mail and installed in under 5 minutes using my iphone ( Not tech savvy). It also has a SpotFinder. It extended range to dead spots in my house. But I noticed speed dropped 1 bar. Overall great product for extending range. Would recommend.

I received Belkin International - Linksys RE6700 AC1200 AMPLIFY Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender free from Linksys to test. The included instruction is very straight forward to follow. The spot finder application helped me to locate the optimum spot to place the Wi-Fi range extender. The intension is to extend strong wireless to the upstairs bedrooms. Before setting up Belkin International - Linksys RE6700 AC1200 AMPLIFY Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender, the upstairs bedrooms were receiving about half of the home network internet. After setting up with Linksys RE6700 AC1200, thee upstairs bedrooms were receiving far less wireless internet strength than the regular house network.

I received this product free in order to test it. The packaging was easy to open and protected the product well. The setup instructions were very easy to follow, and although my extender didn't set up with the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) it did just fine with the browser-based setup. I will update my review after I test the coverage, although i usually don't have problems in my house.

Was easy to set up and incorporate into my existing network. It did help greatly with a dead spot that I had in my wireless network. I did receive this product as a free trial.

My TV's ability to capture WiFi signal died, but still had an ethernet port. My Network Hub is in another room. This model of extender has a network port, so I use it as a bridge. Pairing to existing Wifi network was simple enough. Satisfactory work around - so far no issues. Bear in mind, I do not connect to this device wirelessly, only use the ethernet port.

I needed to extend my wireless signal to another building. I plugged the range extender into an outlet by a window on the side of the house facing the other building and I now have a strong wireless signal there. I unplug it when not in use. Great solution .

So far so good. Seems to extend th range of our wifi signal. Purchased to extend and amplify the signal, it seems to be doing the job.

I received a free product from Linksys for an honest review, The set up was very easy, Connected to my router, the range increase gave me max signal to my laptop, download speeds are better than when connected to just the router,. The range boost for the house was great Very happy with the product

I received this product free from Lynksis for an honest review of the product. The set up is very easy. It took about 3 minutes. It works great. I now have wifi throughout my house and my yard. I would recommend this product to anyone who has wifi dead areas.

I purchased my RE6700 used it with no issues. Left town for a couple of days, came home and found my Router Wifi was not working yet my RE6700 was Green Lit! Got a new Router and now it won't connect and stayed Amber. I contacted Linksys and they were trying to help but want me to Pay &100 or $200 or more to fix connection corruption issues they said I could choose one year two years or a life Internet Security Plan? Was told my internet connection has over 2,000 connection corrupted data in it. And, that it had not been receiving updates. That my connection thru Spectrum formerly Time Warner was a Security Risk to my devices. So does that means it's a paperweight now??? All this thru my Linksys? While it was disconnected before replacing my Router? It just did not make sense to me. I am grateful for the help tho.
