I was directed to call my cable provider for assistance and now the device works perfectly. The device works better when very close to the device the signal is extending to rather than halfway between the modem and the device.

Very simple to set up and forget it.

The ethernet port is great for this purpose. The product works as advertised. No issues. It extends both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands which is good. I set my mobile devices to use the 5GHz band because there is less noise than on the 2.4GHz band such as garage openers, cordless phones and the like. Great price too. But it is not the latest technology
