We bought a new Belkin router for our house when our daughter and her family moved in; the router is in their bedroom and served them well but not so the rest of the house. The people at best buy suggested we install a range extender; we bought one that was compatible w/Belkin, placed it the front hall which is roughly the center of the house, and now we get wifi throughout the all the rooms in the house.

It Works! It is Easy to install. As simple as pushing a button on your router then the Linksys - Ac1200. The directions are easy to read and follow along or you can watch a video on You Tube. Great product if you want faster time & increased length in Wi-fi.

Turns out that my expensive "long range" router, though great, cannot get through some of the walls in my home. Was told I may need a "better" router or bigger internet package to solve my connection issues in my more distant bedrooms. Instead I plugged this in halfway between my router and bedrooms and problem solved. It can still be spotty at times but at least I'm not paying more monthly for Internet.

Finding the right spot to put it is a little difficult until you get the app to find the ideal spot. Pays to read instructions if not have the pro's install it.

I needed 2 to expand my router coverage (which is located in the middle of the house, in the basement) to reach the far ends (one is 2nd story and other end to the basement). The extenders are working, but the set up took me over 6 hours on the phone with Linksys support to get them working. Several factors were involved such as having to have firmware updates to the extenders, difficulty finding good locations with strongest signal, etc. While the extenders have improved my coverage in the house, it was not easy to set up. I now have several .ext wifi choices and on occasion I have to "reset" wifi on my iPad, iPhone or laptop(s) to make sure they are on the strongest extension....in other words, it is not as seamless as may be implied in the product information. I'm giving it a 3 star rating and will recommend but you may find you will have to spend a lot of time on the phone with Linksys support...they are very courteous and professional, but that doesn't cover the hours on the phone, carrying a laptop and other equipment around the house, etc. to set the extenders up. Overall, I have other Linksys equipment and still consider it a very good company/products.

The range extender is easy to set up and works great. It's almost plug n play.

This wireless extender did exactly as expected. Setup quite easy for an experienced user but might be slightly complicated for a novice user. The price point is a little high for your average person but it is also expected for a great product that performs as expected. I personally have FOUR of the these throughout my house so that alone should give you an idea how much I value the Linksys AC1200 extender.

We needed an extender for our town home due to wifi being poor in the basement. This extender is very simple to configure (any knowledge level can install) and get up and running in minutes. The signal is strong and setup was a breeze.
