Wifi reception in the garage was a constant buffering experience in frustration, the AC1200 has improved my reception 90%, I can effectively use my computer or watch tv.

Linksys was very rude and not helpful. I personally would look at another brand if I was repurchasing. There directions are not clear, and creates additional issues. Finally did get it setup with the help of my internet provider. Basically, they had to manually extend the WPS time needed to connect.

I had considered (and bought) a new mesh router. It didn't meet my expectations but when I bought this extender, not only did it meet, but wildly exceeded my expectations.

We hear you. The Linksys Range Extender (RE6350) has to get at least half of the bandwidth from the source to extend the coverage. Make sure that it is equipped with the latest firmware as well. The detached garage gave me a phone reading of too far from modem. I'm sure it's a good product. But, it didn't work for me.

You might need to consider the network area. You may place the extender in between the router and the area that you want to cover, but you need to take into consideration the physical obstructions, wireless interference and the like. I have WOW and the modem is in our back office. I placed the extender in our hallway, about 5' from the modem. I connected the extender easily, but every time we connected our devices to the extender, they froze up or disconnected.
