The movie was nominated by the Academy for a reason. Well acted and uplifting story from the digital age. The disk itself is very good. Only complaint is that when I registered the digital copy it didn’t sync to my two services. This is the 2nd movie out more than 10 that only showed up on VUDU and didn’t show up on Movies Anywhere. Maybe a bug, but the Studio was listed as one of the supported ones in Movies Anywhere. Inconvenient, but not a show stopper.

This was my favorite movie of 2016. Even though it didn't win for best picture, I think it should have. I've watched it 5 times, and I enjoy it every time. Great acting. The father in the film passed away recently. His performance was incredible. Don't miss it!

A great movie that depicts the racial conditions during the 1960's. Thankfully, the Afro-American ladies were able to withstand the challenge and reap the rewards for their many troubles encountered along the way. I highly recommend this movie to everyone!

The movie which is fact based is excellent. Shows you how part of the world really live. How much they struggle just to eat the basics. The movie is shot on location and the realism just takes and shakes you as you watch him try to survive on his own. Color and sound just pull you into the movie. Wonderful story about trying to find his blood family. Very much a heart warming ending. I highly recommend this film for what it says about life.

Lion tells an enticing story of heartbreak, memory, dogged persistence and genuine love that reveals some of the best of the human spirit -- even as it also shows some of the darkness and flaws of our human condition. This is well worth your time.

Hard to believe that this is a true story, but it is well told. Although it may start off a little slow, the movie does pick up and is incredible what a young boy in India had to endure in order to survive, much less find his mother.

Several friends told me how good this movie was so got it and watched last night. It is a good movie. It helps put things in perspective how fortunate and blessed my family and I are. Based on true story which adds to its appeal.

For me this Blu-ray was a "must own" movie. After seeing all the Best Picture nominated movies for 2016, it was tied with "Hidden Figures" for my pick as winner. It didn't win, but I still had to own it for home viewing.

An inspiring story of losing one family and gaining another, of being orphaned and adopted and living a good life. My only criticism is that at times it become overly detailed and therefore slows the plot. Still, a great movie.

The young child did a great job in the movie, dev patel is a great actor for these type of parts. True Stories make great movies. Nicole Kidman did not paly a large enough part for an Oscar nomination as far as I was concerned

This was an excellent movie that the entires family enjoyed and learned a lot. It showed how hard kids in India and Bangladesh have it. Both my 10 and 12 years were able to watch it and were completely engrossed in the movie.

I love movies based on real life and this is an excellent one. It shows you the determination of this young guy in his quest to find his real roots and the kindness of his adoptive parents. A must watch!!!

I bought this movie after renting it from the red machine. I enjoyed it. It made forget that a good part of it was in another language. Story was amazing. Glad it showed the real man and mother the movie is based on.

One of the best films of 2016. It was wonderful to see Nicole Kidman truly act again, in a worthy film. The story was very sad, yet inspiring. I would highly recommend this title to everyone. Worth multiple viewings.

Lion is on the of the best movies of the year. This and La La Land were my top two for 2016. Dev Patel and Sunny Pawar are fantastic. It's sad, has its funny parts, and tear jerking. Everything you want in a movie.

I purchased this bluray with a digital copy added. The movie was based on a true story. A lost and found type of movie that does bring some awareness to homeless children in other countries. It's very moving.

This is a sentimental story based on true facts. Keeping a dry eye was difficult. The emotional involvement that you feel is compelling so you can't help but experience fear and sadness with his anguish.

Here is a story that sounds too good to be true, yet it comes from a true story. The power of the mind and resilience of a strong person with luck ends this story with a happy ending. Very compelling.
