User: 87 years old, technically very competent Usability: hard to unlock phone and answer a call. "Lively" user interface is simple but requires extra taps and left him asking "how do I do...." which was answered with "Lively disabled those features" or "their stock version of the app keeps getting set back to default." Updates will undo some customizations! Buy a dumb flip phone if your loved one just needs to make calls to loved ones... or all the calls they make will be asking you for help! Price: perfect as a disposable phone, which may help seniors who aren't dexterous or can't keep up with a device. It also shows in the overall quality and reliability. Camera: blurry pics, can't scan codes easily. Basically it's worse than digital cameras from 1999. Compatibility: not great. Hearing aids never worked with it despite being Android 10. Features in some apps won't ever work. It's completely hit-or-miss and you can't' rely on the Android version to determine compatibility. Call quality: it's a cheap speaker cranked up to max. When he was on a call, I could hear the other person while I was sitting upstairs on the other side of the house, yet he often said "what? It's distorted, say that again." Granted he has hearing aids, but he seldom has this problem on land lines or when chatting on someone else's smartphone. Final result: Replaced with a proper smartphone, Samsung S20FE. I configured the home screen with the apps he needs, locked it down, and now he can easily unlock the phone, make voice and video calls, and his hearing aids connected right up! Avoid this. I struggle to understand how this is even on the market. Whenever this phone rang he muttered a 4-letter work because he knew the struggle of just getting to the call and trying to hear the best he could.

Better than the previous Jitterbug version it replaced.

Terrible, slow to start , not very user friendly nor is the customer service line. Advise against it.

I bought this for my wife, who has a condition that affects her fingers and hands. She can't handle a regular smartphone. It is much easier for her with this Lively Jitterbug because of the menu style. I would also recommend this phone for someone who has problems with their eyesight.

Really accessible for my grandmother! Glad she is enjoying her new phone without hassle.

This is a great smart phone for seniors who are challenged by technology. My husband had the original version of this, but it was old and the battery would no longer hold a charge. The battery on this new version is amazing, and it's much faster than the old one. PLUS...since he has a Google account, we could synch the old phone with the new one, and all his apps and settings transferred over. Nice!

Perfect smartphone for my 85 yo Mom! Screens are simplistic and functions are very straightforward for anyone to use. She absolutely loves the large font and screen layout and the video call feature is of course her favorite when talking with her great-grandchildren. The service plans are reasonable as well,

We took a chance on this phone for my mother-in-law, who just couldn't grasp the full functionality of a Samsung smartphone. It was easy to start up the service with Lively, and the customer services agents that helped us were very helpful. The easy interface makes for a much better experience for my elderly mother in law. The phone has a great battery life and she is able to do everything she needs with it.

At first, my blood pressure was really high and I was getting really frustrated, as I don't care for this new technology, as I don't understand it.....With the help of my Grand Daughter and friends, asking lots of questions, I believe I more or less get used to this..... with the help of a friend, she found the 20's, 30's 40's and 50's songs of long been gone.....I took this down to breakfast and everyone enjoyed the music......this thing does everything except doing the dishes..... I love the texting, don't really care for Facebook, I will not be friends with anyone I don't know.....UNBELIEVABLE the people who ask me to be "friends!" All in all, the more questions I ask, the more I learn.....

Bought for my senior mother who is not tech savvy. Her last phone was a flip phone. She loves the smartphone. Easier to use then she thought.

Appears easy to use. Had difficulty finding a case for the phone. Purchased for a friend in a nursing home not for my personal use.

Excellent customer service and great customer support

When my wife's flip phone quit functioning because it was 3G we searched for a replacement and Ethen fixed us up with a great product with all of the features of a more expensive cell phone at a fraction of the price.

It's so easy to use! My mom loves hers!! I was able to hide all the apps that she never uses.

Very pleased with purchase of Jitterbug 3. The young lady at Best Buy was very helpful. When Lively had a problem with accepting the activation she hung in there until she was successful. Then she patiently explained the features to me so that even this 92 year old understood. Other smart phones stump me but the Jitterbug 3 simplifies things.
