Customers are saying

Customers admire the Lively Wearable2 Mobile Medical Alert Plus Step Tracker for its user-friendly interface and fall detection feature, which provides peace of mind for both users and their loved ones. However, some users express frustration with the requirement for a subscription, as the device is not usable without it.

Good option w/ Jitterbug Smart 2..no added fees

So far, so good. Works as advertised. Range to phone may not be great but she always has the phone in her walker beside her anyway...it just in case she falls and cant reach the phone. No monthly fee as we already have the emergency notification plan on my mom’s Jitterbug Smart 2 phone plan (which is great for those wanting a smart phone but doesn’t like the size of the icons or is too technical). Phone was only $25 so even if battery life is short, it is still a good product.

We had some challenges with the setup with the company but after 60 minutes finally got it going. It was not a product issue but a customer service person issue. It can be a bit sensitive and go off when bumped. When the phone is far away then contact with the person if the device is bumped is difficult resulting in false positive calls. It has gotten better over time.

The negative part is you have to have your phone so close by for it to work and you have to subscribe to a service to function. In the end, you are better off getting the latest expensive Apple watch which your loved ones can be notified if you fall, plus other health tracker

The lively wearable2 offers the security of knowing that emergency service is available with the press of a button and also provides reassurance that someone is there if you were broke down or walking down a dark street or lost and Someone is at the touch of a button to help you out of any situation. Often times in a situation such as those you might not be able to reach a family member a daughter her husband and son etc. but with a lively wearable to mobile medical alert plus there is no reason to worry that you cannot reach someone in any situation.

We got this for my wife who is having increasing falls. The directions are lacking, but every time she presses the button by accident, they call on her cell within seconds. We are happy with the unit.

You Have to Buy Additional Service for This

This was a free add-on when we bought a Jitterbug phone for my mother in law. There is an additional fee with Lively to activate the program that this wearable needs. There is an app on the phone itself that does the same thing. My mother in law also commented that even if we turned on the service for her that she wouldn't use it because it's ugly and bulky. It is not a watch and has no standalone functionality. Good thing it was free because it's a useless item unless you want to pay for the service.

Even with a new battery this always displayed low battery. When we really needed it when my mom fell it didn’t work. It also kept sending me updates that my mom was out and about when we hadn’t moved it for a month.

Bought for my spouse who was still using a flip phone. She finds the phone surprisingly easy to use and the provider is very helpful. I am very proud to watch as she amazes even herself as she now texts, takes pictures and sends them to family members. Phone is great to hear with all voices crisp and clear! I highly recommend!

We bought this to accompany my dad's Jitterbug II smartphone, primarily because of the fall alert function. (That only works when you're wearing it on a lanyard, by the way.) But it also counts steps, and Dad — at 92 years old — is getting a kick out of that. He's walking more because of it.

I was told by Lively sales department that the range between device and smartphone was 60 to 90 feet.At best it was 20 feet before the flashing red lights on device indicated it was out of range. I returned to Best Buy without a problem.

Setting up the device took some time. The GPS falls behind also you can't be to far behind from your phone. On the whole it's well worth it. It has helped me regain my confidence after a fall while walking.

My mother is moving around a lot, but not always safely. As a result, she is falling down more frequently. Wearing her mobile alert device brings peace of mind that she will be able to get help, if she needs it.
