My dad, who only drives manual, played Gran Turismo 7 with it, and said that it worked just like the real thing.

Works on PC with some work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn't connect to the PC on its own by default. It's supposed to connect to a compatible wheel instead! Didn't realize that when I bought it. I was able to wire up and program a solution using an Arduino I have though. After that, it works great!

Drive the vintage cars the way they really were, with a manual tranny. A lot more fun! Shift mechanism could feel tighter, but aftermarket kits are available to firm the feel up. Still a worthwile addition for the serious racer.

Makes games a whole lot more immersive, although it doesn’t have a legitimate shift feel to it. But I can’t expect that from a simulated shifter. It’s quality and easy to set up

Good shifter

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Its pretty nice, unfortunately didn't use it much after my first mouth, but played forza horizon and need for speed heat, it worked very responsive for both, i did replace the top part of the shifter for better grip, would recommend anyone who gets it to do the same.

Works great even though gears are backwards!

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great, although I haven’t figured out how to switch it to left hand steering wheel cars (aka on the right to shift) in a normal sequential order so I just use it backwards so I can shift with my right hand still because Murica’! I have the G29 wheel and pedals and it all works very well. For the price, I’d say worth every penny of $60 even though it’s not super useful for many games that I play.

Complete your sim racing rig!

Although it may not be as close to a real mechanical lever shifter, this feels like it is a great way to get started in virtual simulation racing. Overall it feels solid enough to have many endless sessions of racing. It grips nicely into a solid table or racing rig. When playing Gran Turismo 7, you really get a good feel for the individual cars when you change your transmission from paddle shifting to this driving force shifter. Being able to transition this from the Xbox or Playstation is a plus.

Even though there are shifter paddles on the wheel, having a real knob shifter makes a huge difference in making everything feel "right," especially when driving in VR. I like that the look and feel match my wheel. I didn't know that you have to push the knob in to engage the reverse gear, but figured it out eventually. I don't know how to drive stick, so I figured this would be a good way to get used to things. My wife, however, learned to drive on an old stick shift pickup truck out on the farm. She hopped into a simulated mustang and proceeded to have herself a blast just running laps on a practice course.
