It's Logitech, what else is there to say. Great price for a decent controller. Would rather buy this than any of the $50-$70 ones.

I have gone through about 8 of these controllers over a period of about 3 years. They are great, but they break REALLY easily. The wire comes out, frays, and disconnects inside the housing very often. I'm disappointed because I love logitech. However, if you spend the extra money on the protection plan, then you can bring it back in for a brand new one. To avoid these things I recommend buying the logitech WIRELESS controller. There are a few people that don't like it, but it breaks in about a year to two years off everyday play versus the three months with this wired controller.

I am and have been a big fan of logitech for some time, and still am, but as of late i am not to fond of this wired controller. I have purchased two wired controllers(This model). Every time on the controller, the cord that comes right out of the controller get's loose or breaks and it keeps acting as if i unplugged it and plugged it back in, it really got annoying. If you want a controller for gaming i would recommend the wireless from logitech, it is a little bit heavier, but it is alot more durable and you dont need to worry about wires.

I had 2 of these controllers less than 6 months. As of today they are both useless. I took good care of them yet the cords both shorted out. Please don't buy this controller. Best Buy should ship these back Logitech and stock something else.

Returned the controller the next day! Its not compatible with most PC games my son has especially MW3! Don't be like me and just buy something without researching first! Read reviews they do matter!
We are sorry to hear that the gamepad was not compatible. We have a list of supported titles on our website. We hope you found a solution for your gaming needs.

Good value for price. Buttons are a little hard so the gameplay is not as smooth.

Like a lot of things, the Logitech gaming software states its not compatible with 8.1. The d-pad and sticks were not identified when attempting to program them into the gaming profile, no support on website on how to fix. Not sure about how functions with previous versions of windows, but 8.1 and 10 seem to require all new gaming software. Aside from the windows issue, the controller also feels cheap like it would break apart if dropped one time. Only advantage if you can get it to work is the price.

Being a gamer. I was seeking a cheap decent controller. A very common thing to happen to all controller is the wiring on the circuit board will wear down overtime. Causing it to cut in and out. Very annoying.
The process wearing down a controller takes years. I have replace this controller 3 times.
First time I bought this controller use off ebay. Dies after about a month. I wasn't suprise because it was a use product.
2nd time I bought it directly from bestbuy.com same controller with the bestbuy protection plan. Wears down after 2 weeks. Cutting in and out.
3rd time I exchange the old controller for a new one in-store using the bestbuy protection plan. Wears down after 2 weeks again. Cuts in and out. Will exchange it when I can.
I used many controllers in my lifetime and never had a controller wears out this quickly.
Hi Cannia, sorry to see you're having some durability issues with your F310 Gamepad. The nice thing about this controller is that now it's even more compatible with platforms and more durable than before. This does come with a 3 year limited warranty that can be used for a replacement to get shipped to you. Hope that helps.

Terrible software

On Vista, I have to re-install it almost every time I boot. The software that ships with the controller won't find it. The latest version, downloaded from Logitech's support site, finds it about half the time. The Logitech support site has a device detector web app which finds the controller when the installed stuff won't. (But a lot of good that does you. At least you know it's connected.) As others have noted, it reads like the XBox 360 controller, and in fact, the software from Microsoft for the XBox 360 controller finds the device much more reliably than the Logitech Profiler. Of course, calibrating it is not possible.
