Absolutely great gaming keyboard! Brown switches are very tactile and at the same time not too loud. I would recommend to anyone looking for a gaming keyboard under $100

This is my first mechanical keyboard, and I love it. I wen't with the brown switches for a little less clicky sound, while still retaining the tactile feedback compared to blues. I do a bit of gaming among other things, and I type fast enough that this keyboard is still pretty audibly clicky. The feedback feels very good, but small, gentle hands would probably want something a bit less resistant like Cherry MX Reds. I think a lot of typing on this can tire your fingers out from having to press a little harder than usual keyboards to reach the actuation. Overall though I love the keyboard and the extra options it comes with are fantastic. I use the media buttons and volume adjustment regularly, but haven't had many uses for the G keys yet. Backlighting has been great too.

I haven't used a mechanical keyboard for many years. This was a pleasant reminder why mechanical keyboards were so comfortable to type with. The keys are easily removable (and lost, though not so far) for cleaning if something should fall in between. Backlight brightness can be controlled with 5 levels (I count off as a level). Volume scroll is very much appreciated and the rest of the multimedia buttons are well placed. My only gripe has been that I occasionally hit the G6 key on the left when I reach for the control key. I've patched this by designating G6 as CTRL. Overall a good keyboard however at this price I was hoping I could customize the backlight more.

If you love the nice feel of a mechanical keyboard but want to step up your game (see what I did there?), this keyboard is for you. Backlighting is great and adjustable, looks great at night. Macro keys JustWork(TM) even outside of games. The extra macro keys are not in the way at all where they are. I found I kept hitting the G1 button instead of ESC at first .. problem solved by mapping that key to a macro that ... presses ESC. Media keys are brilliantly positioned and the 'volume wheel' is absolutely epic. I use this keyboard both for work and gaming and being able to quickly adjust the volume or mute my music is awesome. For me this is the perfect work and play keyboard!

    Best Mechanical Keyboard

The G710+ is perfect for me. The Cherry MX Brown keys provide great responsiveness while also being quiet, which is extremely important to me. The placement of the F-keys are spot on for my smaller hands; other mechanical keyboards have these keys shifted too far back and to the right. Additionally, this is the only mechanical keyboard with a dedicated media section. The convenience of this feature adds SO much value. When you're in-game and need to mute for a few moments, it's so much quicker to hit mute on my keyboard than going to the desktop and clicking around. The design is sleek with a bit of edge, and I love that. There are three brightness levels for backlighting. If you want the WASD and arrow keys to be brighter than the rest of your keys, that option is available, as well. The only thing I wish were different would be the addition of multiple color options. I'd love to have green instead of orange to match the rest of my setup. Simply put, this is the greatest keyboard I've EVER used, and I highly recommend it.

I bought this to replace an old dell keyboard. Backlighting is adjustable and pretty cool. It is a mechanical so you do hear the keystrokes. It was pretty easy to setup.

Have used this keyboard for a couple weeks, and it seems to be much better than my old G510 keyboard. The mechanical keys feel pretty solid under the fingers, and there hasn't been any problems with any of the buttons or anything like that. The only minor cosmetic complaint that I have is with some of the keys the led backlighting is off center with the key so when it is lit up only the top half of the letter is lit up and the bottom half is noticeably dimmer. But again it is minor and half the time you don't even pay attention to it so its no big deal.

Love this keyboard. I use one at home and bought this for work. Only issue I have with it is I run it through a KVM switch and the keyboard buzzes when the backlight is not full on or completely off. It is an issue created by the KVM so not the keyboard. The backlight is not important anyway as there is good lighting at all times in my office. I bought this because my other mechanical keyboard was so loud it could be heard throughout the office and rattled windows... okay an over exaggeration, but it was very loud. The roller volume control is killer!

I've been looking for a mechanical keyboard that was backlit. I didn't want to spend over $100. I picked it up when it was on sale for $90. It works great and has a great feel. I like the lighting options.

I didn't actually buy this keyboard for "gaming". Because of a sensitivity issue with my fingers, I wanted a mechanical keyboard that I could actually feel when pressing the keys. Many keyboards are just too sensitive and cause me to inadvertently hit keys. This keyboard reminds me more of the original PC keyboards of many years ago and not the cheap items you normally see.

I recently built a desktop gaming computer. I was in need of a usb keyboard as all the ones that I had on hand were all of the PS/2 variety. I purchased the Logitech G710+ at a local Best Buy $99.99. Overall I love this keyboard. All of the keys are mechanical, save for the media keys that line the top. The back light is adjustable and there is even a key to disable the Windows key during gaming sessions. The feel of the keys is a bit softer than they would be on other mechanical keyboards I looked at, but that makes for a quieter and overall better experience in my opinion. The customizable "G" keys are a nice touch and work well once I got used to their placement and function. My only complaint with the keyboard is the lack of instructional documentation. It took me quite a while to figure out how to map things to the "G" keys. The process is simple enough in concept, but really could have used some explaining out of the box. Also, there are no drivers included in the box. They have to be downloaded from Logitech's website. Not a deal breaker, but it is a little strange not to have the drivers in the box. The board also includes a USB pass through in the rear of the keyboard. It works fine, but due to my setup it is a bit of a pain to access. More the fault of the way I have the keyboard positioned. Long story short this is a great keyboard for anyone looking for an affordable, quieter option when looking into mechanical keyboards. It will take a while to learn how to make the most of it, but the time invested will be well worth it. All of the issues I have with the Logitch G710+ are all minor and do not detract from the score I gave it in any way.

I am visually impaired and needed a back lit keyboard to see the lettering on my keyboard. This was an amazing choice. Not only is this keyboard sturdy and built like a beast, the lighting was perfect in a brilliant white. There are 4 brightness settings, perfect for gaming at late night hours.

I bought this to replace my 6 year old Razer keyboard after having a great experience with a Logitech g600 gaming mouse. The feel of the keyboard is fantastic and the keys have a nice tactile feel when pressed. Dual zone lighting is nice to keep your RPG/FPS movement keys highlighted. My only wish was that this came in white to match my mouse. Overall a great keyboard and I am sold on the quality of Logitech's products.

I love typing on this keyboard. I actually use if for work, not for gaming. I purchased it because of the fact that it is a mechanical keyboard, but mainly because it had so many function/macro buttons. I frequently need to type repeating information into fields and its so nice to just click one button and let it do it for me. It saves time and effort. The backlighting is a nice feature, although I don't really use it.

The G710+ doesn't have keycaps falling off every two weeks like my other Logitech Keyboard did. This feels more like a professional keyboard. Love the options to save configurations to memory and the white backlighting on the keys is fine. Will buy another if this keyboard lasts more than a few months. So far, so good.
