I love the tactile feels of the old IBM keyboard that I've been using, but I was getting tired of it and was looking for something newer and nicer. This one was on sale, so I bought it.
I thought it was going to have a loud click to the keys because it was a mechanical keyboard, but it doesn't. The keys do make a sound when I'm typing but they are a lot faster and sensitive than the IBM, which means I can type a lot faster than before. Since I'm not a gamer I programmed the left keys for keyboard keys instead of macros: esc-key top left, windows-key lower left.
There's a key that has the icon for what looks to me is the state of Texas that disables the window-key, which is meant for gamers who might accidentally hit the key, pulling them out of their game.
I like the volume adjuster, which you roll to the level you want; no ctrl key + another to change it. There is a wrist flap but I didn't attach because I use it on the slate that slides under my desk.
Lastly, I like the illuminated keys which are great when I'm working in my office at night and only use my desk lamp. There is a USB port on the back side of the keyboard meant for a gaming mouse (apparently, theirs are always hard wired), but I use it for flash drives or to charge my headsets.
I like it so much when I have to write text, I want to put it in my suitcase when I'm traveling but that's just not practical.

Great Keyboard for Typing and Gaming

My first mechanical keyboard after a long string of membrane models. The Cherry MX browns feel great and noise is not a problem with the O rings in the caps. I love typing on this that it's so hard to go back. Highly recommend this when on sale as retail price is steep. It's been a few months and it's been working fine for me. I'm aware of the issues and problems with this keyboard but I've had a positive experience with Logitech customer support with a defective mouse. The 3 year warranty is a plus.
The only minor annoyance is I keep hitting the G1 key when I try to hit the ESC key. Sometimes I'll under-compensate and hit the F1 key instead.

Works very well. Backlighting is great, not too gaudy. The switches are plenty sensitive and haven't had any ghosting. Feels very solid and very well made.

Unlike the none plus version this keyboard is dead silent in comparison. It still makes noise, but really isn't bad. If you are a gamer this also will be and excellent experience for you with great feed back, long traveling, but half way feed back in between key presses.

Cons:
The typing feeling is not great as i expected and the sound is at the same level as normal keyboard, not so quite as advertised. and it's a bit heavy, considering this and combine its size, it is definitely not be regared as portable. sometimes, i miss type keys due to the layout of the keyboard, e.g. press G5 or G6 instead of the ctrl key
Pros:
Anyway, the appearance is very nice. The backlight is not so charming, but it do the job. the palm support and volume adjusting button is very helpful. i hope this keyboard can be my accompany for 4-5 years

I recently built a desktop gaming computer. I was in need of a usb keyboard as all the ones that I had on hand were all of the PS/2 variety. I purchased the Logitech G710+ at a local Best Buy $99.99.
Overall I love this keyboard. All of the keys are mechanical, save for the media keys that line the top. The back light is adjustable and there is even a key to disable the Windows key during gaming sessions.
The feel of the keys is a bit softer than they would be on other mechanical keyboards I looked at, but that makes for a quieter and overall better experience in my opinion. The customizable "G" keys are a nice touch and work well once I got used to their placement and function.
My only complaint with the keyboard is the lack of instructional documentation. It took me quite a while to figure out how to map things to the "G" keys. The process is simple enough in concept, but really could have used some explaining out of the box. Also, there are no drivers included in the box. They have to be downloaded from Logitech's website. Not a deal breaker, but it is a little strange not to have the drivers in the box.
The board also includes a USB pass through in the rear of the keyboard. It works fine, but due to my setup it is a bit of a pain to access. More the fault of the way I have the keyboard positioned.
Long story short this is a great keyboard for anyone looking for an affordable, quieter option when looking into mechanical keyboards. It will take a while to learn how to make the most of it, but the time invested will be well worth it. All of the issues I have with the Logitch G710+ are all minor and do not detract from the score I gave it in any way.

I am an avid league of Legends player (ELO is irrelevant) and this keyboard is great, the mechanical keys have noticeably faster actuation than a standard keyboard making those tough mechanical plays easy, so if you mess it up it's your fault, not the keyboards. It's certainly worth the purchase if you are a semi-serious gamer that spends a decent amount of time on the computer. It's very durable and easy to maintain so the Doritos powder comes right off, and even features enough g keys to make it a decent MMO keyboard as well. I would consider this key board a very practical version of the Orion Spark. it's back lighting is adjustable between the (WASD/direction arrow keys) and then (every other key) on a separate lighting switch, so nothing fancy but practical for sure. and it's only one color (white) so if your looking for mood lighting Orion Spark is probably what you want. and while i have no proof i'm positive that these are the cherry blue switches that are in the Orion Spark because my roommate has a corsair and his keyboard is like twice as loud as mine. so it's the mechanical keys you want with out waking up the neighbors, or being THAT GUY in the group call! overall 8/8 it's great mate
