I love the tactile feels of the old IBM keyboard that I've been using, but I was getting tired of it and was looking for something newer and nicer. This one was on sale, so I bought it. I thought it was going to have a loud click to the keys because it was a mechanical keyboard, but it doesn't. The keys do make a sound when I'm typing but they are a lot faster and sensitive than the IBM, which means I can type a lot faster than before. Since I'm not a gamer I programmed the left keys for keyboard keys instead of macros: esc-key top left, windows-key lower left. There's a key that has the icon for what looks to me is the state of Texas that disables the window-key, which is meant for gamers who might accidentally hit the key, pulling them out of their game. I like the volume adjuster, which you roll to the level you want; no ctrl key + another to change it. There is a wrist flap but I didn't attach because I use it on the slate that slides under my desk. Lastly, I like the illuminated keys which are great when I'm working in my office at night and only use my desk lamp. There is a USB port on the back side of the keyboard meant for a gaming mouse (apparently, theirs are always hard wired), but I use it for flash drives or to charge my headsets. I like it so much when I have to write text, I want to put it in my suitcase when I'm traveling but that's just not practical.

Great Keyboard for Typing and Gaming

My first mechanical keyboard after a long string of membrane models. The Cherry MX browns feel great and noise is not a problem with the O rings in the caps. I love typing on this that it's so hard to go back. Highly recommend this when on sale as retail price is steep. It's been a few months and it's been working fine for me. I'm aware of the issues and problems with this keyboard but I've had a positive experience with Logitech customer support with a defective mouse. The 3 year warranty is a plus. The only minor annoyance is I keep hitting the G1 key when I try to hit the ESC key. Sometimes I'll under-compensate and hit the F1 key instead.

Works very well. Backlighting is great, not too gaudy. The switches are plenty sensitive and haven't had any ghosting. Feels very solid and very well made.

Unlike the none plus version this keyboard is dead silent in comparison. It still makes noise, but really isn't bad. If you are a gamer this also will be and excellent experience for you with great feed back, long traveling, but half way feed back in between key presses.

Cons: The typing feeling is not great as i expected and the sound is at the same level as normal keyboard, not so quite as advertised. and it's a bit heavy, considering this and combine its size, it is definitely not be regared as portable. sometimes, i miss type keys due to the layout of the keyboard, e.g. press G5 or G6 instead of the ctrl key Pros: Anyway, the appearance is very nice. The backlight is not so charming, but it do the job. the palm support and volume adjusting button is very helpful. i hope this keyboard can be my accompany for 4-5 years

I absolutely love this keyboard. The programmable G keys are easy to set up, either by pressing the MR key or setting up the macros in the Logitech Gaming Software. The keys themselves have a very nice tactile feel when pressed over membrane keyboards. There are two lighting modes where you can change the lighting for either the WASD/Arrow Keys or the rest of the keyboard. The white back light is very bright so I am able to see all the keys in the dark. Has a USB port on the back of the keyboard so you can plug external peripherals into it. The switches are MX Browns and there is an O-ring under the keys making each key press pretty quiet. The only con is that the Caps Lock key is extremely close to the A key, instead of having that little spacer between. Look a bit to get used to but now I am over it. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a mechanical keyboard.

I purchased the keyboard on a sale. I've been in the market to purchase a mechanical keyboard due to my discomfort with typing on a laptop keyboard. The keyboard also doubled as a gaming keyboard. So far, the keyboard has been a joy to type on. The keys are very tactile, but do not make loud click noises like blue cherry keys. The keyboard comes with a passthrough usb cord, which has come in handy; but ultimately still uses another USB (2 in total). The orange color of the keyboard isn't that great to look at, but it's acceptable. Keep in mind that this keyboard is large as it has a number pad on the right and macro keys on the top and left. The backlight strength adjustment is extremely useful for late night work or gaming (i.e. so it won't blind you). Overall, the keyboard is excellent for gaming and typing. People looking for more "clicky" keyboard may want to look into cherry red/blue mechanical keyboards.

My wife bought me this keyboard for my birthday to replace my Razer one with super low profile keys. I like this keyboard much better, just do to the feel of it. (Not to mention the satisfying click of the keys - but not so clicky that it will wake up my kid in the next room) The WASD keys can be backlit independently of the rest of the keyboard, and there are multiple dimming settings for the illumination. The only color choice for the light is white, but that doesn't matter to me at all. There are additional programmable keys to the left of where a standard keyboard ends. Perfect for gamers who don't use a left handed control pad like a Nostromo.

I purchase it on thanksgiving, it's only half of the tag price. It's a 4 year old gaming keyboard. Doesn't have the fancy chroma backlight. However, I purchase this purely for daily work. It use the Cherry Brown keys, the feeling is excellent. I always enjoy typing with it, and using it to write programs. It supports Mac, and has a Mac program. The good thing is, you have 6*3groups of customizable macro keys. Which makes my work for more productive. Love it.

I am an avid league of Legends player (ELO is irrelevant) and this keyboard is great, the mechanical keys have noticeably faster actuation than a standard keyboard making those tough mechanical plays easy, so if you mess it up it's your fault, not the keyboards. It's certainly worth the purchase if you are a semi-serious gamer that spends a decent amount of time on the computer. It's very durable and easy to maintain so the Doritos powder comes right off, and even features enough g keys to make it a decent MMO keyboard as well. I would consider this key board a very practical version of the Orion Spark. it's back lighting is adjustable between the (WASD/direction arrow keys) and then (every other key) on a separate lighting switch, so nothing fancy but practical for sure. and it's only one color (white) so if your looking for mood lighting Orion Spark is probably what you want. and while i have no proof i'm positive that these are the cherry blue switches that are in the Orion Spark because my roommate has a corsair and his keyboard is like twice as loud as mine. so it's the mechanical keys you want with out waking up the neighbors, or being THAT GUY in the group call! overall 8/8 it's great mate

Logitech made an incredible keyboard here. This keyboard tends to not get as much attention in the gaming circle as Corsair, Ducky, and Razer but its equally on par or better. PROS: - Perfect consistency in switches and button operation throughout - Soft and easy press spacebar - WRIST REST - I find it interesting that some Keyboards that cost $150 don't come with one, even as an option. *cough* Das Keyboard *cough* My close friend uses an incredible DAS keyboard yet he prefers this G710+ - White lighting that has ADJUSTABLE Brightness!! I don't want my keyboard signaling space with colors and brightness - Excellent style in my opinion, not over the top but cool with the sides angling down - GREAT Price, can often be found for $85-90 (for a true full-sized, cherry mx brown switch, with num pad and programmable profiles) CONS: - Only white lighting, no chroma if that's you're thing - I did have 4 keys that were NOT properly coated with paint. On the left side of the furthest left row of keys I noticed that toward the bottom they started becoming more translucent. This WOULD be a cool effect if I didn't know that it was a manufacturing mistake. For me, I don't care that much but it is still a flaw. CONCLUSION: Truly unbeatable for the price of $85-95 because other keyboards of this quality and function are $115-175. Great key spacing and key size for average/large hands (Corsair felt a little cramped). Great profile customization. Excellent style.

Key are comfortable to the touch and the G keys make it easy to create macro's as well. For first time mechanical keyboard users, I strongly recommend this product. The new price line makes it affordable and it has many important features for gamers and coders alike. It's quite heavy so keep that in mind (most mechanical keyboards will be heavier than their membrane counterparts) but it gives it a nice quality feel and it's a joy to type on. This uses brown keys for those who want to know which is a good midway point before stepping off into specialized keys like red (or orange for you Razer folks).

I love this keyboard, it looks and feels great. I would call myself your average gamer (play at least an hour every day) and I don't know if I will ever buy a different keyboard. The lights are sweet, the keys feel really nice and the programable keys and media center are super handy. It is a little more expensive than your average keyboard but it is a way above average keyboard.

I've used a Logitech Illuminated keyboard for years because I love the low profile keys. Since those don't work well with some games due to some limitations, I've needed a new keyboard for a while. I didn't think I would like a mechanical keyboard because I had tried some from Razer and didn't care for the feel or sound. After trying this keyboard it was a good combo of feel without the annoyingly loud click sound. I transitioned to it much more quickly than I thought and can type even faster on it than on the old keyboard due to the lightness of the keys. The additional features are great including the split illumination and macro keys. Software it comes with is intuitive and really simple to use. I'm a gamer and an engineer ... I really like this product, just wish it was cheaper. :)

I picked this keyboard up almost 3 years ago after my purchasing one for my wife. Very clicky keys, lots of light level changeability (not RGB) and many function keys. It also has a USB port to hook up a mouse or other peripheral easily. This does take up 2 USB ports on the computer.

This is a great keyboard especially for those who don't really want to spend the extra money for an overrated Razer keyboard. For me I built my first PC and got this keyboard and the G502 Proteus core and I love them both and have no problem with any of them! Also, the keyboard gives you the mechanical feel of other gaming keyboards without that super annoying clicking that everyone can hear in Skype or team speak. All of the different gaming modes are nice to have for various games, although I haven't used them yet, I'll be giving them a try here in a bit. On top of that, the keyboard sound controller plus the play, pause, stop, etc. buttons really help to control your sounds quickly. As for the lights on this keyboard, they are very nice and bright or dim depending on how you like it. The only visual downside for me is that you cant change the colors of the LEDs. Other than that, buy this keyboard if you are looking for one to game on! You want be disappointed.

While I am NOT a gamer, this was the only keyboard I could find locally with backlit keys that fit my budget and from a company I know and respect. I find this board to be well built - sturdy. Perhaps I can find a way to program certain keys to work with the various "Non-Gaming" software I use. This board is heavy...doesn't slide around. I like the removable palm rest. I find it of great use for my needs. I've been typing since 1977 and I can easily wear out a keyboard, especially wear off the lettering on the keys. I sometimes work late at night and really don't want to turn on the lights. I can see well enough with the light emitted from my monitor. My problem has been not being able to discern at times what letters are what. Having a keyboard with backlit letters stops this problem. The fact that I can adjust the brightness of the keys, four levels, or turn the backlight off is a plus. The color is white...I don't need something with weird green, blue, red, etc., or a mix of colors for backlighting. I also love the music volume, play, stop, forward, next, fast forward buttons on the keyboard. This makes it nice to mute to stop music when taking a phone call. The built in USB port is nice...you can plug in your mouse, headset/mic, or whatever into. I'm not into wireless keyboards or mice. This keyboard requires the use of 2 USB ports on your computer. I use the built-in USB port to plug in my mouse. You can't go wrong with this board. I find the money well spent.

I have always used Logitech products and had good results every time. I had a need for a illuminated keyboard as the lighting where I do my work is not always well lit. I wanted a strong keyboard with a good tactile feel and well lit easy to see keys. I do not do much gaming, but have found the programmable keys on the unit to fit many needs. As a gaming keyboard it has many customizable keys for game functions and even changes lighting color for different settings. This is a strong, well made unit that is pretty heavy compared to the cheap keyboards out there. You can go the Logitech site to download software to do all the custom functions this keyboard offers. Has six custom gaming keys and many other regular functions as well as custom windows keys. I am happy with the strong, well made feel of this unit. I highly recommend this keyboard.
