    Great Keyboard, very poor QC

I got this keyboard to work at my office because I needed a mechanical keyboard that would be silent but at the same time I wanted tactile feedback. This keyboard is pretty good, i love the feel and the macro keys are very useful for repetitive tasks. The USB pass through is very convenient too. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because I have to say I was unlucky with this model. The first keyboard I got had a problem just after one week where the key Delete would always pop out, The actual brown switch had a dent on the back, therefore it was incapable of holding the key on it's place when hitting the key on it's angle. I got it replaced at best buy with a new one, but this time after using the keyboard for another week, i noticed that the --> key would do exactly the same thing, for the same reason (this is a key I barely use and believe me, I don't hit the keys that hard as to break them). Most people will think this is acceptable but to me it's very annoying, and therefore I wouldn't recommend this keyboard. I have a Corsair K70 at home with blue switches and I haven't had a single issue with it. I'm returning this one too but this time I won't ask for a replacement. I will spend a little more money for a different keyboard.

    Great keyboard bad back lighting

Pros - While the brown mechanical switches are a pleasure to type with. Not that noisy, If you are coming from a membrane keyboard you will notice some sound, But it is not that bad. Coming from a Logitech 510. Cons - Why only have half the key backlit? Don't get me wrong this is a fully backlit keyboard. BUT only half the key lights up, If you do not know the layout of a keyboard you better have a lamp on your desktop or a flashlight handy. Example: !@#$%^&*()_+}{":?>< among others cannot be seen unless you have some lighting in the room. Logitech dropped the bomb on this. Even with the brightness set to blinding, you still only see half the key lit up. Conclusion - If you know the layout of a keyboard the backlighting may not be a problem for you. It really is a pleasure to type on brown switches coming from a membrane keyboard. Sorry to say just picked this up 2 hours ago, packaging it up and returning it tomorrow. Side note - If you look at the one they have set up at best buy, It looks all the keys Fully light up.

Great keyboard just a little bit to get used to

I came from using an azza media keyboard which is a pretty terrible keyboard if you ask me. I love the tactile feel of the mechanical keys and I also like how it isn't quite as loud or expensive as the razer keyboard. The sound of typing is very satisfying and it gives off a good feel as if I can feel the switch activating every time I do a keystroke.

    Would have been perfect, but....

Obviously this product works for a lot of people. I am not one of them. I love Logitech products and to be fair I love this keyboard. More like I want to love this keyboard. I am familiar with the Logitech Gaming Software needed to use the G710 but no matter what I try, I cannot get the G Keys to work within a game or outside of a game. The volume scroller doesn't do anything, and neither do the media keys. Not even the mute key. Basically what I ended up with was an overpriced standard keyboard with extra keys that do nothing. The G710 looks and feels beautiful, but with the gaming aspect non-existent at this point I have no need for this product. I will be returning this keyboard, sadly. And going back to using my Microsoft Sidewinder X4. I wanted to try the G710 b/c it had the same number of G keys, but sadly the X4 never gave me problems and that's where I'm sticking I guess. I just wanted something a little more sturdy. Oh well.

I originally was skeptical of mechanical keyboards. This one isn't as loud as some of the other options though. So far it has been great. The keys feel better than the more expensive Logitech that best buy had on display in store. (910?)

Made me a mechanical keyboard convert

A keyboard with everything I was looking for and more. I wanted a keyboard with backlight, wired, extra USB outlet to connected my G602 sensor. This keyboard has all that plus the MX-brown keys feel so good to type on. This is my first mechanical keyboard and LOVE IT. I now see why other people say they will never go back to membrane keyboards. It is a little longer compared to a regular keyboard. I will say that it is a HEAVY keyboard, makes it feel very durable, long-lasting, and great to beat someone down with. Lol

    Nice keyboard

I am not a gamer but I needed a keyboard with the following attributes: - at least 4 programmable keys - mechanical keyswitches rather than membrane or chicklet-style keys. - backlit keys - "clicky" keys but not too loud The Logitech G710+ was the only keyboard that met all these requirements. It is a little expensive but at least it doesn't feel cheap like so many keyboards do these days. By the way, this keyboard replaced an old favorite keyboard that I have used for over 15 years.

Excellent keyboard choice for a G series user

Having used a Logitech G15 and then a Logitech G11 when the 15 died (rest in peace), I find that this keyboard is the perfect replacement/upgrade from either of those. The tactile keys let you know when you hit one. The LED backlighting is exceptionally good. As you can see in the photos, the WASD and arrow keys are grey and the rest are black. I find that this is a very nice feature, since I'm very frequently off by one finger on my keys. I'm a student in Computer Science and a hardcore gamer, so I spend a lot of my day at the computer. I feel that this keyboard, while on sale, is an absolute steal for someone considering an upgrade. If I had to sum up how I feel in one phrase, I'd say that this keyboard feels a lot more like an instrument or tool to me rather than just a normal, mundane keyboard.

I really love this keyboard. I initially bought the logitech g510 and brought it back and upgraded to this and am much happier. Keys feel great, board looks great and have a wonderful bright white back lighting. USB pass through and programmable G keys are a nice little addition as well.

    Solid keyboard

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is a strong full feature gaming keyboard that looks and feels solid. Had this for about almost a year now and has taken all most everything I have thrown at it. Keys feel great to press, it's not noisy and doesn't have a crazy amount of extra buttons and keys to cutter. My only gripe is that logitech did not build in a drain system incase something spills on it. It was just an expectation on my part based off the retail price of this keyboard ($129.99). But I guess you can say that since it's always on sale, its right for its price.

    Good Quality

I found the keyboard to be very solid. You can tell quality pieces were used to construct this input device. Its heavy but not too bad. What drew me to the device was the macro keys on the left side, volume/media keys on the top and the Cherry/brown keys.

Very good, a couple things could be improved on

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Overall very good keyboard, just a few things you should know before you buy: 1.) The wrist rest is way too small to be effective. I have mine sitting about 2 inches in front of the keyboard so that I can wrest my wrists on it. 2.) Don't let the flashy marketing for specially made silent keys that you see on the box fool you. I pulled up one of the key caps-- they're just plain Cherry MX Browns. I wouldn't call this a complaint, i find Cherry very reliable, but you should know that these keys aren't actually super quiet. Those 2 things aside, it's a great keyboard- u might want to get it on sale though.

    Good feeling, quiet mechanical keyboard

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The main reason I got this keyboard is I tried it in the store and noticed it was much quieter than most mechanicals I've tried, even ones with brown switches (the same as this board). I've owned other brands in the past, and they were either too loud or clacky for me to use in my apartment with other people. This one is still somewhat clacky, but it is not nearly as loud as other mechanicals I've used. Still a little louder than a membrane board, but quieter than any other mechanicals, definitely. It's larger than other boards, by about 1.5 inches or so. If you're used to a ten-keyless, it is a *lot* larger. However if you need a quiet mechanical, this is the best one I've found so far. I doubt I will use the macro features, but the fact that this board is quiet, feels good, and has backlighting makes it worth it to me.

    Great to type on

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This replaces a Dell keyboard model I have been using for years. Typing feels great. The rubber O-rings can be removed and gives the keys and louder clack sound. My initial complaint was accidental presses over the G1 and ESC keys or overcompensating and hitting the F1 key. Using it long enough for muscle memory to kick in and it's not that big of an issue. The media keys and volume wheel is nice.

    Excellent mechanical keyboard

One of the better mechanical keyboards that I've had the pleasure of using. Every keystroke feels great on this board. Very responsive and comfortable. Wonderful for both basic typing as well as gaming. It's one of the quieter mechanical keyboards I've used as well thanks to the pre-installed O-rings. Backlit keys, good overall design, and the included arm rest are icing on the cake. All around, a very solid mechanical keyboard.

    Amazing Keyboard

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is my first mechanical keyboard and it is absolutely perfect! I use it mainly for gaming but also for mild web surfing. The tactile feel is perfect and this keyboard comes pre-installed with o-ring dampers to reduce the noise of bottoming out the buttons. It is an attractive keyboard, though there are much more attractive boards out there, and has separately controlled backlighting for the main keys used for gaming so you can make those keys more visible. Everything works perfectly. This is not the most sophisticated gaming boards but it is by far the best VALUE (functionality vs cost) of any that I researched. Well worth the money and very happy with my purchase!

Great keyboard when it works, RMA was a headache

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is my favorite keyboards that I've ever owned. The keys are tactile and makes a satisfying mechanical click sound on each keystroke. I have no complaints about the keyboard but my RMA experience was a headache. After a year of ownership, the LED's behind the "1" through "0" keys above the QWERTY keys no longer worked. It wasn't a huge issue as the keys still functioned but I wanted to get the problem taken care of while it was still under warranty. I contacted Logitech's customer service to open an RMA request and that's where the headache started. In a nutshell, after 1.5 months, three RMA cases opened, several phone calls that lasted between 30 mins to an hour, 8+ emails (with a majority of them ignored), I was given an RMA approval to send in the broken keyboard. The RMA process took around two weeks to complete. I ended up receiving a brand new in box G710+, which made me happy. Too bad I had to deal with Logitech's sub-par customer service to reach this point. I hope this will be the last time I have to deal with Logitech's support department.

Maybe because this is my first mechanicl KB, I like it so much but I really think even then it is a solid keyboard. Once I got used to the raised keys I can actually type much more acurately. I love the feedback of the switch and that it isn't really all that noisy.

This keyboard is great for gaming as well as every day use. It's not as loud as other gaming keyboards I've had, it's very sturdy, and the ability to use macros in both gaming and other programs is wonderful. Highly recommended!
