I had been looking into purchasing a nice gaming keyboard after getting a new PC and I finally settled on this one after seeing it on sale on the Best Buy website. No problems with this product so far. Very happy with the layout and extra programmable keys that are available. It is nice that you have an option to change how bright the keys light up or turn it off if you want. The key are not very loud but still offer the feel of other mechanical keyboards. Very satisfied with this purchase

    Loving this keyboard!

I love typing on this keyboard. Does it make noise? Sure, but it is a mechanical keyboard and I was expecting it to be a lot louder than it is, to be honest. Also, if you aren't doing a lot of typing and just using a few keys for game movement, it is pretty quiet. I have bought a few spendy keyboards (mostly Logitech) and they seem to go after awhile. This thing seems very durable and solid. It does not feel cheap (except the palm rest, but once it is sitting there, you don't notice - it blends with the overall sturdiness). I know some people have complained about the overall size (along with the usb passthrough), but it is smaller than my other gaming keyboards. Do your homework on mechanical keyboards... there are different types that might fit your mechanical personality. These happen to be brown switched and I believe it is the best of both worlds for typing and gaming. I love using this keyboard... I am tempted to get one of these for work too...

    Great Keyboard

This is the first mechanical keyboard I've ever purchased and by far has been the best keyboard I've ever used. It is very comfortable to use while typing or gaming. The programmable G-keys come in handy sometimes, although I really don't use them. It has great functionality and I just love the sound it makes when actuating the keys. Overall, it is a great keyboard.

    Excellent Keyboard!

I have had this keyboard for a year, and it has been great. I've experienced no problems with the keycaps as some other users have. This thing has taken some serious abuse (spills, people hitting it, etc.) and it still works just fine! Best keyboard I have ever had. The lighting is nice too. If your considering a mechanical keyboard the 710+ wont dissapoint.

I hesitantly made the switch to a mechanical keyboard and I'll never look back. While it is quite loud, it's a joy to type on and very fast. The media buttons also work perfectly even with my Mac. My only complaint is that the glossy surface shows dust too easily. =P ..that and that it's pretty loud. But that's what you get with a mechanical keyboard.

    TERRIBLE Customer Support

As I don't expect everyone to read all of this, let me preface it with this: Do not buy this keyboard, it has lots of issues with broken keys and dying backlights. Look into the Corsaid K70 instead, for a few more dollars, you get a much nicer keyboard, with a VERY high build quality, and superior customer service. While it works, it's a keyboard. The switches are very nice, the backlights are decent, and bright, the media keys work as desired. I've always enjoyed Logitech products, and support, but this was an exception... After a couple of months, as TONS of other users have stated, one of my Windows keys broke where it connects to the switch, no big deal I figured, I've got 2 anyways, however about a week later, my second one broke, in the same way. So I contacted support, my roommate, has a Razer mechanical keyboard, on which his space bar broke, and he emailed Razer, who asked for the serial number, and part number, and mailed him a new space bar, about a one week ordeal, I figured it would probably be that easy. Boy was I wrong. On the phone, the Logitech rep verified my SN and PN, and the issue. She then told me that Logitech could NOT mail keys to you, they would require me to mail them my keyboard, which they would inspect, and then send a new keyboard, or my keyboard with some new keys, back to me. This wouldn't be a big deal if I had another keyboard, but in order to use my computer for the week or two that it would be gone, I would need to purchase another keyboard, which I don't want to do. Beyond that, the representative asked me to also email them a picture of my receipt to verify that it was still covered by warranty. I looked up the product on wikipedia, and it was released in mid 2013, with a 3 year warranty. Meaning that, as we approach 2015, it is literally not possible for the keyboard to be out of warranty. The optimist in me wants to say that this was just an oversite on Logitech's part, simply following standard process, but the pessimist in me sort of thinks it's a bit more of a shady practice, then again I've had to deal with Comcast support recently, which is a pretty close tie with Comcasts. I expressed my concerns and dissatisfaction through email to one of the emails that was sent to me, the agent ignored most of the email and replied with a very canned response that "unfortunately it is their process to not mail keys, that I would be required to mail them my keyboard, or they would not complete the RMA". I asked if there was any way for them to go around the process and ship me the keyboard with a return label and package for me to return mine, or even a cross-ship to speed things up. Again, a canned response stating that my "request to cross-ship has been denied by the warranty department". TL;DR Avoid Logitech, I'd rather deal with Comcast customer support at this point. Overall, the keyboard was nice while it lasted, but Logitech's customer support is not about supporting you, it is inconvenient and impersonal, look at buying a Corsair K70 instead.

this keyboard is really nice but for me the let down was that the back lit led was white and secondly it did not make that clicky sound when you type. if you like silent typing this one is for you

Great Keyboard but Not Durable - Loved to Use It

I love using this key board. It's awesome for gaming and general typing, but I have had to buy two of them and now the second one I bought has failed and I will be going to my local BestBuy today to replace the second one I bought with a Razer. This keyboard has a great feel and sound and is great for general typing as well as gaming. For gaming it is highly responsive. The lighting can be super bright, but you can tone it down. Separate light level controls for adsw. The spacing between the keys is a bit too small for my large hands and I often hit the Caps Lock by accident. But despite that I do like the size, even with the wrist-rest it does not take up that much space. One nit-pick for general typing. The characters such as @ $ % are not illuminated so unless you are a touch typist it can be annoying. This is a great keyboard but it's not durable enough for a heavy gamer. My first one shorted out from a small amount of water that got between a few of the keys. I guess this could happen with any illuminated keyboard. I enjoyed it so much I bought a second one when the first one failed, but now I have to replace the second one also after approx. 4 months. The often used keys have started to keep coming off. You can easily put them back on, but they will soon start to come off again at some point. If you hit them directly vertical I think they are OK but if you hit like just the bottom portion of the key it will lift of its mount. The attachment mechanism leaves a lot to be desired. This month Logitech is introducing a higher end keyboard like the Razer Chroma and it has redesigned keys. If it were available today I'd probably got for that.

    Keys fell off easily

I play League Of Legends, Heroes of the Storm, Need for Speed Series, Mass Effect 3, and Sim City. Everyday some of the keys fall of the keyboard. I admit that I have a strong finger strength but this never happened to my other keyboards. In fact, except this little annoying problem with mechanic keyboard, I totally love this keyboard in general. Nice typing feel and confident feedback from the keys. So I would rate this 3 outta 5.

    Easy to Operate

I bought mine a few months ago and wanted to write a review depending on how I liked it. And the ease of programing all my keys on the left is perfect for a lefty. I have a cheat sheet to go by that works wonders and takes so much time away from finding everything. The lights are adjustable to set the time of day or night and it tells me my computer is working fine with a beep and the M-1 light goes on. My Logitech mouse is using the back USB port which leaves a open USB port on my computer. It's worth the price with the amount of time I save because once your programed your set.

Love the feel of the switches, it is on the wider side which isn't great if you have a small space to use the keyboard like i do. Still very happy with the keyboard though.

This keyboard is my first mechanical keyboard. I don't think I will ever be able to switch back to a normal keyboard for gaming. Not sure if my keyboard is broken though... my screen keeps pressing some unknown button that is making it scroll to the right of the screen... super annoying but it may be a driver issue. The real cause is TBA. Nonetheless, the LED backlight didn't break in a couple days like some negative reviews mentioned. And they are purrrdy.

I am in love with this keyboard. My first mechanical keyboard. I am a very fast typist with speeds up around 120 WPM and in the first day of using the keyboard, my recorded speeds were already quicker. I don't use this much gaming, well I haven't as of yet, but the macro buttons will find other uses throughout the variety of programs and work that I do. There are 3 levels of brightness for the keyboard and you have the gaming mode option which disables the Windows key which is fantastic for using even while watching movies and the like.

    Keys break and fall off

I love the feel and performance of this keyboard.....BUT after about 2 months the most often used keys break and need replaced. I contacted Logitech about this problem and as I registered the keyboard right away there wasn't a problem with the warranty. BUT they wanted me to pack up the keyboard and send it to them. As this was the only keyboard I had, I told them it wasn't feasible and asked to just have the keys shipped to me. They are not allowed to do that as they do not just send out keys...they will just replace the whole contraption. They could have a whole secondary market if they'd sell the keys by themselves. Buy the Corsair and you won't have that problem

    Upgraded from the MK320

I recently built a new desktop, and with that I needed a new keyboard & mouse. I bought the G602 & this keyboard. The keyboard is 1000% better than the MK320. With the MK320, the keys didn't feel right and I would find myself holding down keys randomly on occasion. With this G710+, that is completely gone. I love the spacing between the keys, and the height of the keys. It truly makes me want to use my computer more, and even typing this review is just awesome. Everything is great, and I couldn't have wished for a better keyboard (Although blue instead of red/orange on the side would've been nice).

Logitech ALMOST gets it right. Good overall

Overall I loved this keyboard for typing and for mmo gaming. Great feel, nice features, though I never used the G keys. After 3-4 weeks several of the key caps began to feel loose, and would pop off with the slightest provocation. This proved frustrating when typing and downright disastrous when in an MMO arena or raid. I looked in to buying some aftermarket keycaps. with the popularity of mechanical keyboard tweaking. This is certainly an option, but I ultimately decided to try something else. I traded mine for the Corsair Vengeance K70 (MX red) and so far am very happy with my choice. IMO a better quality keyboard in many respects and less expensive, to boot. So, Logitech just misses the mark in my opinion. If they were to take the extra step to source some better quality keycaps, they'd have a winner.
