I have the Logitech Harmony LINK that works with the Ipad and Iphone and shows what's coming up with pictures. It has some bugs where you have to close it and reopen it back up all the time. Other than that it was great. I was told the new Harmony took care of the bugs the upgrades were not. I was told wrong. This doesn't even have an Ipad app like the LINK. It's just a little remote. IT does work but I went backwards so I have both now.

Need a computer to download software for set up but it's a piece of cake to do. Just tell it what devices you use by model number and it does the rest. Turns all requested devices off and on with one touch of a button.
The app for the smart phone actually is easier to use than the remote, but that may be in part to the mobile phone being used. Works better than any previous remote ever used, including those provided with TV's, HT, etc.

I set my parents up with a new TV and a PS3 so they could watch their movies, and tv (physical and digital media). They ended up with a TV remote, a PS3 remote and a cable box remote. After a 3 minute setup, they now have a single remote which does everything they want. Quick tip if you don't want the cable box to shut off (if it would affect your DVR), you can set it to stay on in the desktop software. The phone app will still show it shutting off, but it works the way you want it to.

I really like having the RF (radio) type remote instead of the traditional infrared signal (IR). You don't have to point the remote because it operates on radio frequencies and then uses infrared senders placed in front of your devices. One of my devices did not work well with IR when you were not directly centered and within 10 feet so that situation is much better.
The remote is very simple and at times you must use the mobile app in order to fix the status of devices for a given activity or access advanced features. The old Logitech Harmony remotes I've used allow you to "fix" the power/status of an activity and its devices must faster and offered on screen help.
I've integrated this with an Amazon Echo and that is a nice to have, but it isn't fully functional yet and still has glitches.
The three activity buttons on the remote are great, but if you have more than 3 activities, the only solution is to press and hold one of the three buttons to access the additional activity settings. This requires you to memorize that behavior and which button links to an activity. I expect this would frustrate some users. I've had to train my wife and kids on which button to press...and now they just use the Amazon Echo to change the activity (when it works).
Ultimately, it is worth the asking price when on sale, and I hope that Logitech fixes some of the oddities of the system and Amazon Echo skill in the future.

Great for a smart home, however the device should be able to control more devices and should be able to more effectively control devices over IP and RF.

Couldn't be happier with this remote. Ignore the reviews that slam the included remote as it is only meant as a backup. When Used as intended with a smartphone it is fantastic and well worth the money.

Got this remote with the hub on sale for 38.00! Money well spent. It's not high end like some of the other harmony remotes but it does the job very well!

It's so much fun telling Alexa to turn on the tv, change the channel, turn up the volume that is is my second one I purchased. I'm used to backlighting on my hand held remotes and this one is not. But most of the time I don't even use it

So I'm not going to go into detail about how Logitech remotes like this work. There are many reviews that you can find to explain this, but basically you set "activities" and the remote has 3 buttons near the top that you set to control up to 6 of these "activities." Those same buttons are long-pressed to get the other 3 functions. Examples of what an activities would be include "watch roku" or "watch FIOS." You then assign the different items (e.g. TV, roku, cable box, etc.) to each acitivitiy so that the remote knows what to control when you press the corresonding acitivity button. In practice, the setup time for this can be long, but the goal is to simplify using the remote in the future.
What are the pros and cons of this product?
Pros - simple remote once it is setup, good apparent build quality, ease of use, nice form and ergonomics.
Cons - Initial learning curve; limited to 6 activities and activities beyond 3 require long press; Only can have eight devices associated with these activities; Some changes require the computer, while others can be done with app; It is not always clear how to make certain changes in the logitech software - could be more intuitive.
Overall a very good remote, but you have to be ready to give the Logitech approach an initial investment of time to learn. Also, if you have many "activities" (>6) or devices (>8) you might want to get a remote that can handle more.

Simple, but powerful remote and since it uses radio frequency (RF) you don’t have to point it at your TV and it can operate devices hidden in cabinets. Far superior to IR remotes. Great value compared to alternatives.
Remote systems that operate multiple devices at once have a complex job to do (e.g. turn on cable box, sound bar and TV to watch TV.) So a little patience is required to set up. Once set up though, it’s very simple to use you never have to think about it again.

Difficult to setup, constantly disconnects

I had to return it as It's ok when it works, but would constantly disconnect wifi which required reconnecting PS3 via smartphone. I had issues having smartphone connect to hub at all with AC Cisco Router, solved problem by separating 5ghz and 2.4 ghz into different SSIDs. Also even though remotes are wifi (smartphones) and remote uses RF the hub has to be put in good spot for all controlled devices to get IR signal (issue if using in large room where hub's IR blaster signals doesn't bounce effectively).

I purchased this item as a birthday gift for my father, who has long since given up on using his entertainment electronics because of all the remotes. This item was easy to set up (not for him, but by us). Once completed, it offers a variety of “schedules,” which allows for multi step remote control by pressing a preset (e.g., pressing movie turns on the television, receiver and the blu Ray player). There’s plenty more to do with this device, as well as internet connectivity to add new devices and IR Codes.

I bought this mostly to add voice control to the TV through my Amazon Echo. With three kids, the remotes are always disappearing. It is nice to be able to mute or pause from across the room by voice command. It works relatively well for this, though it is a bit expensive for what it does. I don't really use the included remote, but I do use my phone sometimes and it works fine.

This remote is very easy to set up and program. The only Issues that I have had is the direct/indirect line of sight in my console for all of the components that it should interface with when I push an action button. Sometimes the delay in relaying the IR signal can be relatively slow. Other than the placement of the hub for best use, this remote is great.

I migrated away from a different universal remote with RF. This product dropped on the network very easy with very little set up work.
The Harmony remote works well on IOS. I have had to update settings and application and it went well, with no issues.

I have had Logitech smart remotes for almost 15years. This one gets things almost perfect. All in one package with Hub included. This pairs my Bluetooth devices perfectly (PS3 and Amazon FireTV). I also like that it uses 2032 batteries and not rechargeables. My only complaint is at night, the buttons to see because they're not backlit. But this allows for greater battery life.
