No need to read beyond the summary, but: Remote works very well. 99% of the time the activity powers up/down all my included devices, and when it doesn't the remote can "fix" itself...power individual devices and not throw the activity out of whack like I've experienced with the less expensive Harmony remotes.

I read all the reviews before purchasing the Harmony One Remote and so far I have not had any issues that some of the reviewers had with the remote. Once you learn by doing the switching between functions is a breeze. One complaint I have is the DVR functions buttons located at the top of the remote are rather small and I think if they had moved them to the lower section of the remote would have been better. I have to use hold the remote with my other hand since I use my thumb to operate the buttons and not my pointer finger. Comfortable grip when holding the remote to access the touch screen. Geek Squad programmed the remote and they load the software from their computer, so if any problems you have to call them. My purchase was part of a TV custom install, so I do not know if you get this option when you purchase the remote by itself. It combined 4 remotes into 1.

I liked this remote and found it fairly intuitive, but I bought it for my spouse. Unfortunately, he never got used to it. He missed having actual buttons to press and couldn't get used to tapping the screen. I watched to see if he would use it but after a few days of him using the old remotes I returned this one.

This did take me a few hours to set up.... Which was my fault. But we love the ease of it and not having to use 3 remotes anymore. Wonderful product!

I am not a very techi person to say the least, but this remote is amazing. I control every device in my home with it. I went from having 8 separate remotes to just 1.
I highly recommend this product.

The remote is a solid one. The only problems I have is where buttons are located and a lot of times you have to use both hands. I feel the remote is priced about $100 more than it should be. In hind site I would have got a remote that was cheaper and does the same thing.

I got this remote to replace a Harmony 650. This remote offers some fancier features with the touchscreen and the favorite channels. I think it's also more visually appealing. However, I think the 650 is just as functional, if not more. The Touch gives you the ability to control more devices, but the 650 still had more than plenty for my needs. I actually prefer the ergonomics of the 650. I prefer the buttons on the Touch over the touchscreen for most functions...it makes the Touch awkward because the important buttons are at the bottom of the remote.
It would be a HUGE improvement for both of these remotes if they used Bluetooth.
All in, here's my take: get the Touch if you like techy devices and can catch it on sale for a big discount (I've bought a couple for $99/ea). For your average everyday user, just get the 650 and call it good.

I upgraded from a lower model to this one, mostly because it comes with a recharging base. It is well worth the upgrade. I was able to use the same settings in the myHarmony software from the old one to the new one without any major re-programming.

Took some time setting up but was definitely worth it! Works great on equipment in closed cabinets. Experienced difficulty with volume setting but purchased the Best Buy warranty and it was immediately replaced. A must have for the gadget guy.

I purchased this devise because I got tried of having to use a different remote for all of my home entertainment devices...most of the buttons are touch only but you can program the pad buttons to do what you want them to do...it took me a little less than an hour to get the remote to do exactly what I want it to do and I am completely happy with this purchase...the only drawback I would say is its inability to work unless it is direct sight of the devise...this is not a problem for me as I am always on the couch while watching tv, but lets say you have to rush into another room and want to pause the tv you will not be able to do that with this one. Other than that it is a great buy easy to use and easy to set up

Remote works great to control TV, tuner, DVD and DVR. Very easy to set up on any computer. If you have an older Harmony remote you can import your settings. You can do a lot of different things with the swipe feature on the touch screen. Comes with a charger, so no more batteries going dead while watching your shows.

Bought this to replace my Harmony One, which unfortunately developed screen problems as a result of being dropped one too many times by my youngest son. It was a simple, fairly painless procedure to transfer all the functions of my previous remote to the new Harmony Touch. I prefer the button layout and position of the One, but the Touch is an adequate replacement.

I'm used to using a Harmony 880 remote. First off, I'm not comfortable with the touch screen. I thought I could get used to it but having to flip through the screen and possibly sliding it the wrong way or pressing the wrong icon caused some trouble. Battery life, at least on the remote I had, did not last for a week with little to no use. The 880 goes for a long, long time. Ultimately I returned the remote as it just wasn't my style. For those that are great with touchscreens, etc., this MIGHT work well for you.

I really like the versatility of Logitech's live of Harmony remotes. I have owned a Touch for about 2 years and a Harmony Touch Ultimate for about a year. Initially purchased the touched for $140, I noticed the price went down and had the price adjusted to $90 which now makes it a great value. I bought this remote for my 12 year old son's room to make his switching inputs and devices much easier. Setting up the remote couldn't be easier having been a Harmony remote owner for over 10 years (first Harmony was the 880). Just download the Logitech software, type in the model numbers for each device, and set up the activities. The process was simple. The device database even had my Kinivo hdmi switcher in it. I 'm waiting for the price of the Elite to drop so that I can upgrade again.

Fortunately the Geek Squad guys set up my remote as part of an in home theater installation. Once set up, it's about the easiest remote in the world to use and adequately controls blu-ray, directTV(including DVR!), sonos, and even my xbox menus. I haven't added any additional components yet, but I was a little intimidated by the fact everything was done by linking it to the computer. It's probably a little easier than finding numerous input keys off a list for various model #s, but the tech guy made it seem like making changes might be a little complicated. That being said, it does a fine job of controlling everything (except my receiver which is not programmed in). It's so easy my 70 year old mother could use it...just swipe across the touch screen to "watch TV" or "watch a movie" and it automatically chnages everything to the correct input. Pretty sweet.

I always had the problem of reaching for multiple remotes to switch between Dish/Roku/DVD/etc. This remote solves the problem. Recently got Xbox and this controls that too which was a bonus. Still getting the hang of it. Easy to configure.
The touch sensitivity is a little too much sometimes and behaves a little off sometimes. Hence giving only 4 stars.
