I bought this Bluetooth adapter trying to transmit from my AV receiver to a Sony Bluetooth speaker across the room. After reading reviews and product details, I selected this adapter thinking it would meet my needs. After spending an hour trying to connect and lots of searching on the web, turns out this receives only.
DOES NOT TRANSMIT!

I connected this Bluetooth receiver with the cable supplied to an old Sony receiver's RCA jack CD input figuring that would allow for maximum frequency response and used my laptop's Bluetooth to play music. This Bluetooth receiver synced up quickly with no problems. But I noticed the sound seemed bandwidth limited without much upper or lower frequency range, plus it seemed not to have much dynamic range. I noticed there are no specs available to read on these subjects onsite or in the little manual supplied. So I connected my laptop headphone output directly to the receiver using the same cable and it sounded much better bypassing the Bluetooth and receiver. If you're used to listening to music on smartphone speakers and are happy with that then this won't matter and you can just send the music to a stereo receiver just fine with this. But I'll probably give mine away to someone who is fine with smartphone speakers.

So disappointing. I bought this because it was the only one Best Buy had in stock near Xmas, and my B06 Bluetooth receiver had died after 2 years. That receiver worked well on my home stereo/ receiver, enabling me to connect bluetooth-enabled TV, computers, phones, etc to my wired speaker system. This Logitech one is greatly inferior. It disconnects constantly, and does so 100% of the time if the physical unit is touched by even a sheet of paper. Any touch, even the slightest movement of wires, causes the Logitech receiver to disconnect from whatever device has been broadcasting to it.
It also has terrible line-of-sight problems. It's about 19 feet from my TV, and if I get up to move around the room that makes the sound choppy.
Finally, it doesn't connect to as many devices as my old B06 would do.
I don't know whether I got a defective unit or what, but if I weren't outside of the Best Buy return period this would be going back. Too bad, because I use a lot of Logitech products for my computers.
Hello DelcoBen. Thank you for taking the time to write your review of the Bluetooth Adapter. I'm sorry to hear that the Bluetooth keeps disconnecting and you're experiencing choppiness when it is connected. It does sound like you have a faulty unit. It comes with a 1 year warranty, and you can get the process started here: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024918114-Warranty-Bluetooth-Audio-Adapter -Charlton at Logitech

I was told that this was what I needed to listen to my TV at night through my bluetooth headset without disturbing those around me. However, the box would not automatically pair with my bluetooth headset. It probably works well with things that you can actually accept pairing on or with but it is not for pairing a non-bluetooth tv to a bluetooth headset.
