I found these and decided to give them a try. When I connected them and turned them on, WOW! I was impressed and very happy. Plenty of range of volume and there is a noticeable range of adjustment for bass and treble. These are little jewels, and for the price more like a gift than a purchase. Guess you can tell that I recommend them highly and without hesitation.

Now it fades in and out. I am going to try to return them to my local store.

Posted .Hi, I'm sorry that you have experienced difficulty with the Z200 speakers. On this particular model the speakers need to be plugged into a power outlet. The volume control acts as a power button and would need to have the knob turned to the right to turn the speakers on. Once connected to a laptop/desktop many times the system settings will have to be changed to make the Z200 speakers be the primary audio out. I hope this helps in fixing the issues. For the money these are great

Going from laptop speakers this will be an amazing surprise to you. Turning the volume up all the way and cranking the bass it doesn't sound good but for $20 these are good with 75% volume and gaming etc. If you want more go for the z623 or the klipsch pro media 2.1 (I use these as my "soundbar"
