    The speakers have built-in bass, so they don't feel separate from the sound, and there's a tone switch to lower it down if needed. I had to use the equalizer though to get more clarity from the vocals in some songs. Headphone jack is faulty, I think, because whenever I plug my headphones or earbuds in, I hear faint static and beeps when I'm not playing any music or audio. Not sure if it's only a problem with my speakers because the headphone jack on my PC tower doesn't produce that sort of distortion.

    For the price you can't expect top-notch audio but they do have a reasonably good sound. The only problem that I have with them is that you're very limited on placement because they're permanently connected to one another. Also, the wire that will plug into your computer isn't very long -- which restricts placement even more.

    These are a decent set of lower-end speakers. If you're going to connect them to a laptop, even that's fine. Sturdy and stylish, they can give you some okay audio, but don't expect surround-sound system audio. These are good for when you're just watching some YouTube videos or just using them for basic sound.
