This device only works if it is plug in and is not portable. what is the point if it has to stay plugged in???

This is a great little speaker with high quality sound. It's about the size of a large mug. I used it mostly at work while listening to Pandora and I have no complaints regarding the sound quality. Plays music clearly and can get rather loud if necessary. Plus it's pretty sleek looking. It does require power from an outlet. That cord is a decent length about 4ft long (eyeballing it) the USB cord however is a bit short IMO, I would say about 2.5 ft long, I do wish this was a bit longer.

Bought this product for 2 work computers. Speaker puts out great sound for only being one speaker. Listen to mostly recorded phone calls, so voices do come out clear. The seldom times we listen to music, the speakers do just fine for a small area.

This speaker is small. It has no controls: No power switch, and no volume control. However, it has a nice, pleasant sound and is well worth the price, especially when it's on sale.

I was actually surprised how well these speakers work, they are well worth the price. The sound is clean and crisp.

I don't expect much from a single speaker in this price range, but this one delivered more than I expected. you will still get much better sound from a 2.1 or better speaker system, but if you just want one small (ish) speaker and don't want to spend much, this is the way to go.

I had to return after noticing on multiple computers and devices that the speaker would emit a loud pop or annoying buzz when first turning on the device it was attached. Otherwise audio quality was what you would expect at this price point.

This speaker's sound is only average. Bass is minimum.
