Fred Flarsky (Seth Rogen) is a journalist who has recently quit his job. Trying to cheer him up his best friend Lance (O’Shea Jackson Jr. – Son of rapper Ice Cube) takes him to a fancy party to see Boys 2 Men. While there he runs into his ex baby-sitter and life long crush, Charlotte (Charlize Theron) who has grown up to be secretary of state under former actor turned president President Chambers (Bob Odenkirk). She is currently trying to broker a green planet deal between major countries. One conversation and a fall down a flight of stairs later Fred is Charlotte’s new speech writer. Comedy and drama ensue as the two’s friendship and working relationship blossom into romance. This movie took me by surprise, I was expecting humor but not the heart that the movie also provided. Rogen and Theron have great chemistry and this is easily Therone’s funniest film role ever. – Fun film fact I just learned when confirming none of her other film work is a better comedy, Charlize Therone’s first credited role on IMDB was in Children of the Corn 3 – O’Shea Jackson easily steals every scene he’s in and brings a lot of energy to his role. The movie itself also provides a few unexpected lessons on friendship and personal politics that are rather timely. Go see this movie if you like comedies. I can’t wait for it to be released so that I may see it again.

Long Shot delivers on everything you might want from a romantic comedy. The jokes consistently land and the central romance is believable and heartfelt. Charlize Theron is an underrated comedic actress as she proves once again in this film. Seth Rogen is often associated with bawdy humor, but he tends to be involved in projects that base their humor on character and that's the film's biggest strength. These are very real, fleshed-out, sympathetic characters and they elevate the film above the typical rom-com fare.

Long Shot is a funny, yet predictable romantic comedy with a few surprises up its sleeve. It doesn't change the genre, nor does it stray from the formula, but you'll have a lot of fun if you're a Seth Rogen fan. This Blu-ray release comes with a good 1080p HD image, and while the Dolby Atmos track was overkill, it still sounded great. Bonus features are all worth your time as well. Recommended!

"Long Shot" is sadly one of the most underrated movies of 2019 - luckily for you, the blu-ray is now here and offers great A/V and fun special features. If you want a story with heart and giggles that doesn't put you to sleep - this is it. It's charming and rare to be intelligent and full of heart these days. Highly recommended!

I am so glad I bought this bluray, it is so funny and Charlize Theron is a great actress and flat out Beautiful. Did I mention Charlize Theron is the lead actress. The movie is about an out of work writer, who is hired for Charlize to write speeches. They also went to High Scool together.

Seth Rogan plays a drug addled socially concerned reporter. Charlize Theron plays a high ranking, ambitious politician. How could they have anything to do with one another? They do, and it's very funny and done quite convincingly done.

Enjoyed the chemistry between Seth and Charlize! The humor was well written and considering politics today it was a great break! The writer did a fantastic job showing how at times when you have to choose your battles or go full in.

the less you know about this movie going into it, the better. not that knowing things gives away the plot, but the trailer kinda ruins some of the hilarious parts. but the movie has tons of heart and it solid all the way through.

Great little romantic comedy. Really liked Seth playing a little more serious role. Its the typical Rogan being himself as this character pretty much. But thats why we live him right? Its a good movie and its def worth the buy.

I watched this movie with my wife expecting it to be some lame romantic comedy. I was surprised when it actually turned out to be a really funny movie. Seth Rogan and Charleze Theron are great together.

The wife had saw this in the theatres for a screening, didn't think it would be any good, but this movie was so funny, brought me to tears funny even on a few scenes. This is definitely worth a watch!

If you need a good laugh with a little too much excesive personal gratification (you'll get that if and when you see this movie lol), But overall a good buy for a movie night.

Really funny but be careful because it’s for mature audiences. We had the movie play and did realize there were a couple of scenes that were sexual. Children were present.oops.

This movie is classic Seth Rogan. This guy always delivers! And now Charlize Theron!? Oh she's got a funny side to her I never knew. Perfect match up. All out hilarious

Well done romantic comedy! Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen have great chemistry, and the supporting cast members are wonderful in their roles. Very recommended!

This is an exciting movie. Great story and great actors. Full of humor and also some touching moments. Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron make a great comedic duo.

a other seth rogen masterpiece comedy. he decides to work for a old aquaintance who is running for office and the trouble starts when they go out dating.

Good romantic comedy, not too far fetched but did get out on a few ridiculous tangents. Definitely worth a watch, good laughs and decent overall story.

another chapter in the amazing line of comedy films Seth rogan has come along to bring us all after all these years. Have a drink, set back and relax.

I think this it a great movie. I enjoyed watching it very much. I thought the actors did a great job. I would recommend this movie to anyone.
