looked for security cameras and got a good deal on these. We needed to buy extra extension cords and hooks to hang on our house, but like that there is a tablet monitor.

My whole family lives the camera. They feel safer with it.

This camera system is awesome! The only thing I don't care for is that it records when there's movement, but it's a little slow at starting the recording process.

We bought more cameras than we needed, but we did catch a woman rifling our mailbox. It's only been a month, maybe we'll catch the car looters next time.

This is a great system and gives good coverage. Easy to install and images are clear.

My screen would freeze and not record. A large line comes across the screen so you could not see whole screen. It took forever to get a replacement. New replacement gets a blue box and will freeze and not record during that time. Wish it was better.

Serves the purpose and works great. It's wireless and convenient, easy setup.

The only thing wireless is the monitor. Not the cameras. Image quality during the day is good, color is good. Night vision is not clear. Grainy image. One month after having the camera It rained one just one night. One of the cameras filled up with water. I filed a claim to have it replaced. Several weeks went buy and did not hear from the manufacture. I just sent in another a week ago and still no response from manufacture. The reason why I bought the camera was my bike was stolen out of my back patio and some neighborhood homes were broken into. I came home to my screen pushed in. Nothing was filmed. Camera possibly damaged due to rain. I will be returning. Very disappointed.

I purchased this camera system to replace another system that ran off my WiFi. This system is good for getting pictures, but does not record audio. There is audio monitoring, but no recorded audio. When I spoke to Lorex, they informed me of this. The description states it has monitored and recorded audio, and this is false. Picture quality is good, night vision outdoors could be better.

Entry Level meaning cheep. You will figure out how to use it but it won't be by the manual. Very ambiguous. Example, it says it is illegal to record audio, but this system doesn't record audio anyway. It doesn't say that anywhere on the box or in the manual, and there are mics in the cameras that you can hear audio in live single view only. (not quad) Also, it seems to have a mind of it's own switching form one scree to another. Lastly you will need to download LOREX PLAYER to view you recordings. It is very hard to find on the website or call them like I did. Not to horrible to deal with. Big disconnect between the phone calls and the emails, like they don't know what each others are saying.

I was looking for the ease of wireless.. The battery does not last long at all. The video quality is poor. Over 8-10 feet there is no way you could make out someones face at night..night vision is very poor. This would be great in a house...outside no. I expected more for the money. I am taking it back today. I am not happy about having to climb a ladder and uninstall it all either... I may look into wired cameras as much as I hate to bury cable.

I hate when someone just says "Junk. Do not buy" for a product review, but I just dont know what else to say about this system. I spent hours trying to make this work because I REALLY did not want to run wiring for a hard wired system. Every part of this system is just soooo cheap. My home is typical 2000 sq ft (60 'x 35') home. If this is your application don't waste your day trying to make this camera system work. Receiver will NOT maintain connection with any camera if any one camera signal is week enough to drop out. Mounting hardware for camera is sooooo BAD! Power cables for each camera is only6.5ft ( about as expected) but any extension cord can fix this. Its the drop out on the cameras that kills this system. Technology for wireless video just isn't there yet.

I did a lot of research on alarm systems before I bought this. I was going to buy a much more expensive system with a 1 TB DVR, but them I started thinking that if a remotely intelligent person broke into my home, they would clearly just snatch the Alarm DVR next to my TV, and take off with that. So I thought this Lorex system might be a good compromise. You still get the external cameras, that tell people you have a security system, but since this system does not hook up to a TV, or need an ethernet connection, you can put it anywhere there is a power outlet. That also means you can get it closer to a camera if it is too far away for good reception. My first disappointment, was that the cameras could not be hung under the eaves of the house, they can only be mounted to walls. Since I have a stucco house, I chose to temporarily hang them upside down from the eaves, to see if I got reception, and to try out the system first (and I am glad i did). I also just ran extension cords to each camera for the system check. The cameras all worked when I powered up the system. I have a 4500 sf house, and they all had strong signals. As I said, all my cameras were upside down, but it was ok if you just held the 7" screen upside down. About that 7" screen...really, that is too small to be useful, and the whole operation is very cumbersome, having to use the hard keys on the lower border of the monitor (not touchscreen...seemed like 10 year old technology). The worst thing about this small screen, is that when viewing recordings, you have to view all 4 screens at once. So if you really want to see detail, forget it, you have a 3" X 2" view. I guess you can pull out the memory stick and go to a computer with it, but I never got that far because: The cameras are useless. This system has no hard drive, which I understood. The cameras are motion sensor activated, so if someone came to my door...bang. Got them. If someone messed with my son's car in the driveway...Got them. You don't need a lot of memory if that is all you are recording. But the motion detectors didn't work (and I played with the sensitivity settings all evening). One camera never picked up any movement at all during the day (on the highest sensitivity setting), but then recorded every 5 minutes at night with the lowest sensitivity setting. And you can't set different sensitivity setting for day and night, not that it mattered. So if someone messed with my car on the driveway, I would have to look through hundreds of 1 minute clips...assuming the camera actually came on when someone was there. I took the whole system back the next day (which is why I always shop at Best Buy; they are great). I then went and bought 6 fake camera domes for $10 each from an electronics store. The technology needs to get better before I try this again. I

Was as simple 123 to put together and mount , then sit back and watch for intruders on your properties. Great little system.
