I bought this not knowing what to think and really took a chance,glad i did as it is a really good movie and well worth the money. I would add it to your collection

If you, as I did, are expecting another Jane Austen novel made into a satisfying movie, beware, this isn't one of those. This was an incomprehensible mess. The script as well as the acting was more like a stage production. For that matter, the background music was also. You would be hard pressed to connect with a single character. The best thing about this movie is that it's only about an hour and a half long.

I was really disappointed in this movie it is not what I expected. I thought it was going to be excellent with Kate Beckinsale

Love the period customs; love Jane Austin books made into movies. Also, the music is charming. It's worth the purchase!

was hoping for a period piece classic, but this was a total borefest. don't waste your time on this one, watch Kubrick"s Barry Lyndon again instead. if you suffer from insomnia, then this movie will be just perfect.

This movie wasn't very good. I thought it was going to be some kind of quirky rom-com, but I was quite bored with it. Very disappointing as Kate Beckinsale is a great actor.

An incomprehensible mess from the start. I generally like these British adaptations of Jane Austen books. This was near unwatchable.

This movie was hard to follow at first as it has a great many characters. It is funny and enjoyable. But if you are thinking of Pride and Prejudice or Persuasion, this does not resemble those movies in the least.
