Yes, they are more expensive but I haven't seen any other brand that provides that much value.

I find the label in the packaging misleading as on one hand it says the product is smart but does not clarify "with optional hub". It does say "add hub to unlock smart features" but I found it being called a "smart dimmer" misleading.....so I spent the additional $$$ (had I known, I would have bought a starter kit for less money) to get the hub and works as advertised. It's saving grace is that it does not require a neutral wire in older homes.

Best smart dimmer switch for older homes

Very easy to install.
