Interesting new take on a classic story that points the story in new directions

This film is the new version of the play "Macbeth", so if you expect anything new in the dialogue you won't get it here. The performances were excellent, especially Fassbender as Macbeth, but even that cannot make much of an impact. This film is enjoyable, but it's nothing that we have already seen in other versions.

The acting and unique "PTSD" approach to Macbeth's character make this an adaptation worth watching (though some scenes are too graphic for the classroom).
