I’ve been using the 13.3-inch MacBook Air for a while now, and it has proven to be an excellent device. The sleek, lightweight design makes it incredibly portable, perfect for on-the-go use. The Retina display offers crisp and vibrant visuals, enhancing everything from work documents to streaming content. Performance-wise, the M1 chip delivers impressive speed and efficiency, handling multitasking and demanding applications with ease. Battery life is exceptional, often lasting well beyond a full workday. Overall, the MacBook Air 13.3 is a reliable, high-performing laptop that balances power and portability perfectly.

Coming from a 2012 MacBook Pro, this is so much nicer . It’s faster , lighter, quieter, the keys and touch pad are so much more responsive. Bought it on sale for less than an I phone. I wish it had MagSafe charging, but the battery life is so good I don’t have to charge it often so no big deal . Very happy with purchase.

I've had this for 3 weeks already and it has been an amazing laptop, I play games do work and have 50 percent charge at the end of the day so battery life is amazing with the m1 chip and everything is very smooth. I would highly recommend getting the m1 over the Intel because the newer m1 chip is soo much faster great for video editing and games, also with m1 chip which saves a lot more battery. *Also fanless

This thing is awesome. It's silent, the build quality is fantastic, the keyboard is amazing, the track pad is best in class. The screen is on the smaller side, but it is a smaller device, so can't complain. The battery life is monstrous. I could use it all day without having to charge it until the next day. If you travel a lot, then this is the computer for you. Great purchase if you get it on sale.

Upgrading from a 2013 MacBook air, this new model does everything I need it to do (I use it for work every day running multiple Adobe Suite programs). I don't usually do very high level processing tasks, but I've hardly had to wait for any of the tasks that used to hold up my workflow. Simple, fast, light, and impressive battery life.

Great computer. Easy to carry, good battery life, and perfect for all the normal little things like email, Internet, Google Docs. Durable and reliable. And the newer chips are even faster than this M1!

MacBook Air with M1 chip is speedy upgrade

Apple MacBook Air (late 2020. With M1 chip. Model A2337). Summary: I recommend this! It was a very good purchase to replace older Mac machines. Excellent battery life; more than 15 hours before needing recharge. The faster processor and Retina display are worthwhile upgrades from my older Intel Core i-5 MacBook Pro from 2013. So far, all standard programs are working with the Apple M1 chip. The minor weaknesses are: only two included USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) ports. No separate charge port or memory card slot. I needed to purchase extra-cost adapters/hubs for my HDMI/VGA video monitors, external audio speakers, thumb drives, and USB memory drives. Of course, I’ll eventually replace each of these older inexpensive peripherals with newer and pricier Thunderbolt 3.1 equivalents.

The first MacBook Air I bought had a software issue after a few weeks so I didn’t get to really use it and enjoy it but I was able to return it and get a brand new one. Now after using it for a while I completely fell in love with the battery life, the speed , display and the feel of the keyboard is so smooth & I love the color of mine. Would definitely recommend.

The M1 "Air" laptop is all that most people need for general purpose use - it has 8 GB of memory and 256 GB of solid state disk and an excellent 13.3 inch screen - plenty for email, light word processing, light gaming, school work, light artwork, has a good built-in camera, microphone and speakers, etc. Mac computers come with an excellent complement of easy-to-use Mac software for general purpose use and, recently, Stacksocial has been offering a great deal on MS Office 2021 for Mac that extends that ecosystem to the Mac, too. It is fast, responsive, extremely reliable, and is very easy and pleasant to use. Most people only use 30 to 50 GB of "disk" storage (this computer uses much faster solid state disk - not less-reliable and slower hard disk). It is comparatively light and thin as laptops go and is easy to carry. The power supply is not clunky and attaches magnetically. All-in-all a good choice, especially at its current discounted price. The M1 generation of Mac chips is similar to but not quite as fast as the M2 generation but is architecturally very similar - there is little to fear that the M1 will become obsolete in the near future. The *one* drawback is that this computer has only 2 Thunderbolt ports for wired connections. Thus, if you want to have a hardwired Ethernet connection (faster and more secure) than the built-in WiFi, you need to buy an external Thunderbolt (not just a USB C-type) dock that includes an Ethernet port. Similarly, if you want to use the computer with a larger, say a 24 or a 27 inch screen you need to have an HDMI port on the dock. And if you have other kinds of devices that you use that have USB A connections the dock must have those, too. There are several reliable docks on the market, so if you need one, they are available. Just make sure that the dock has the kinds and number of ports that you need. I recommend this computer if you need a light and very portable general purpose Mac.

I just got this for Christmas. With having lots of papers and grading to do in my final semester of school, this laptop seemed like a really good fit. My dad has the 2015 version of this laptop and it is still running very well. So far, I am loving it. The computer runs pretty fast. I also enjoy having the Touch Bar option at the top of the computer. My main worry was that this computer was going to be heavy, but its pretty lightweight. I would recommend this computer to anyone who is in need of a good everyday computer.

This thing is great. I'm a 3D model amateur who uses Blender. I also write a lot of code. To summarize, I am a power user. Blender works really really well. The only instance where I found this computer's limit was RAM-related tasks, such as fluid simulations, which I have never seen a laptop handle that. It did everything else with ease. Sure, rendering in cycles is slower than an RTX-powered PC, but it still does the job fine. (Note: I do not think it is a good idea to render on an M1 chip, as it is unknown at this time what putting it under 100% load for long periods of time. With that said, I'm gonna keep doing it.) Also, can we talk about battery life?! This thing lasts forever! I honestly charge it every couple of days if I'm just writing code! If I, a power user, can fully utilize this thing with my insane workflows then you can absolutely justify getting this. I'd like to point out the 2 flaws though: One external display without some crazy expensive accessories. 256GB Storage isn't ideal for me, but hey, I didn't want to shell out $250 to double that storage. I picked up a Samsung T5 SSD to cover that issue. If you need a new computer, this is the one. No question about it. I have recommended this computer to so many people since I bought it early this year.

Ordinarily, I am a Windows guy, partly because I am a self-employed accountant and therefore a heavy user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel. While Office products are available for MacOS, objectively they don't hold a candle to Office on Windows, period. I am also not a big fan of MacOS, partly because I am more comfortable in Windows. All that being said, Apple's already excellent hardware is taken to an entirely new level with the M1 processor. Apple really knocked it out of the park. The combination of performance, heat management, battery life, screen quality and brightness are incredible. You simply cannot get a fanless Windows 10 laptop that performs like this at any price - and this is less than $1,000! The next time you hear someone say all Macs or Apple products are overpriced, point them to this.

Do you want the best Mac for use at home at the best price? Get a Mac mini M1 and round it out with your own peripherals. Need to do some casual browsing, games, emails and shopping? Get an iPad--literally any iPad. Even the entry-level one. Need the best of of both? Get this laptop. It has crazy-long battery life. Fantastic performance for all the basic-medium level tasks. All in a thin and light package on the go. Could you make do with an iPad Pro? Yeah, but it's nice to have the stability of the keyboard built-in with the heft of a metal chassis as opposed to a keyboard case and also MacOS for whatever program you need to use for productivity or work. With the M1 processor you get power and battery life in a nice balance so for the average user this is a great product if you NEED to be in the Apple ecosystem. Otherwise get a Chromebook or Windows laptop. With that said, MacBooks tend to last many years and hold their value well. I have spotted it on sale here at Best Buy as low as $750 but overthought it, missed out and then jumped on it at $799 a few months later. Safe to say it's been a great product for my stated use-case and if you can catch it on sale it's a Best Buy!
