Mad Max is a great blend of everything you have come to expect from an open world game. Avalanche Studios has created a fun but brutal world to explore an create havoc in. They have stayed faithful to the IP.

I expected that story lines will be the same, but they are different. However, this game is really fun. If you played and liked Batman series and Middle Earth:Shadow of Modor, you must play this too!

I got this on black friday for a great price. It's an open world game with lots of stuff to do. You can upgrade Max along with his vehicle. The game has great graphics and excellent game play.

Admittedly, I came to this game later than most, due to it sharing a release date with Metal Gear Solid 5. However, once I did, I found myself pleasantly surprised (probably because I thought its release on the same day as MGS5 was symbolic of Avalanche/WB knowing that the game was subpar). The games tries for an open world feel, with many missions to complete and things to collect. However, despite that, the world seems pretty barren, which I guess fits, given the universe/backstory. As for the gameplay, the car combat as well as the hand to hand combat (which is reminiscent of Rocksteady's Batman games) is solidly done. Definitely worth a playthrough for $30 or less.

Hand to hand combat, large open world, crazy driving battles, apocalyptic feel. If you like these things in a game than Mad Max is for you. It was a lot better than I expected. Check it out.

Have been playing since it came out, love this game. This game give lot's of missions to choose from. Wish they would have more weapons, but my shotgun does just fine. The only thing is they probably should've cast someone else for Max's voice

Fury Road was my favorite movie this year. While the game is not the same story line, it exactly fit my desire to play in that world. Not the most amazing story but its just gritty and fast and full of blood and grease, what a solid game.

Very fun game, excellent graphics and in general a great way to waste time. Movement is a bit choppy and driving is a bit hard, but I guess its just getting used to it. Overall a fun game.

For fans of mad max and open world games is highly recommend this game. Graphics look amazing but game play can get repetitive. Over all,it's a great game you'll put lots of hours into.

My only complaint is how you have to hold a button to perform almost any action. If as much detail went into the on foot play as it did the car combat this game would be an easy 5 of 5.

Mad Max for the PlayStation 4 is a fairly large game, the size of the barren landscape that Mad Max fans have come to know will not disappoint players. The game has many areas of exploration and consists of many unique randomly triggered events that occur throughout the gameplay experience. However the game does tend to get a bit repetitive as you will enter new regions and the same challenges from the previous area will once again appear (Clear a Base, Destroy certain items, stop a convoy, etc.) This style of gameplay works but it may be better spread out over time, rather then being played over a couple of sessions. The game also seems to lack a strong story, in a quick opening cut-scene you will meet your nemesis for this Mad Max story and then fairly quickly you will be tossed into an open world with little additional narrative. The game will continue to guide you with a NPC towards the steps you need to take to further advance the game and upgrade your character/vehicle. Overall it is a fun experience and fans of the Mad Max franchise will probably be thrilled just to have the opportunity to drive the Interceptor through this large barren wasteland. Oh, what a day... what a lovely day!

Absolutely love this game. Couldn't tear myself away the first week. Bs till hard to not play. If you have sick days call in. You won't be disappointed in the action packed game.

Mad Max is the best game I've played in couple of years. I can't wait to get back to this crazy ride. This game is absolutely awesome! So many things you can do in the desert..

The game makers spent a lot of time getting the look and feel of the Mad Max universe right. There's a good sense of speed burning through the wasteland, and some great, over-the-top apocalyptic set pieces to explore on foot. My gripe with the game is how repetitive it is - open a new area, clear it of bad guy influence, upgrade yourself and your car, go to the next, larger area and do even more of the same. There's enough new and/or fresh ideas scattered throughout to keep this collector going, but just barely.

atmospheric and environmental story telling, while some say this is a lazy tactic, this is what really makes mad max great, both the video game and the cinematography on film.

I think that the creator of this game did an amazing job on the details and aspect's of the storyline and overall of the game. The graphics are beyond amazing. I would highly recommend any person to give this game a try.

So far I love this game. I just started it but the graphics and play are awesome. The story is a little slow but I heard it really picks up as you get further into the game.

Like many purchasers I read multiple reviews before I made this purchase and there seemed to be quite a mixed bag. So let me review it this way. If you liked the movie (not saying it replays the movie story at all, but if you liked the movie) , enjoy the whole open world, third person game play and like hot rods then you will like this game. Most of todays games are so involved its refreshing to sit down and play for 30 minutes( or 6+ hours) and just have a good time. It's not overly completed and just fun to race, fight and build your car. If this meets what you are looking for in a game this is the one for you.

This game is a long game but that's not a bad thing. The world is huge and there are many things to explore. The car combat is excellent and the side missions are not boring. Do yourself a favor and pick up this game.

I bought this game for my son. However, I have been playing it every chance I get. The graphics are great and I think the game may actually be better than the movie.
