It's been a long 7 seasons, but the 2nd half of season 7 has left viewers with a storyline that was successfully closed, without a lot of dangling plotlines to never be resolved. There were some changes in store for many characters, most for the good. All in all, a great ending.

Mad Men Finale – a big letdown

The Mad Men series was great but the final season was a letdown! With only three discs instead of the usual four, the price was too high. I think the writers just did not feel like writing anymore great scripts for the series. Would not recommend – catch it on Netflix instead.

It took a long while for the final season to show up, but it was a satisfying season, with many of the characters continuing to grow a bit, and major storylines coming to a close.

I waited for months for them to release this last part of the series. Boooo. It's like they gave up trying to even bring the story to a decent close. Thumbs down.

Madmen is a good show but trying to epouse too many causes without understanding the times. Also, appears director is trying to milk the season.

I had to return the season because the last DVD wouldn't play. I returned it for the same season but had to return it because it had the same problem as the set I just returned. The last dvd didn't play either. When I returned that set the girl checked the DVD that they had on the shelf and that too was warped and most likely wouldn't play.

mad men the final season part 1 is a three disc dvd set that features gay rights, gay power, the trial of Chicago, and the best things in life are free. Disc one has a picture of the don draper (jon hamm) character, while the other two discs have visuals of don draper’s current wife megan draper (Jessica pare) and peggy olson (Elisabeth moss). However, I did notice that there was a picture of the betty francis character once I placed the first dvd in the divd player. The characters of betty francis (January jones), joan harris (Christina Hendricks), pete Campbell (Vincent cartheiser), sally draper (Kiernan shipka), bert copper (Robert morse), roger sterling (john slattery) along with other actors/actresses return to the show. One thing that I do like about the show is that the writing was done in a way to show the reality of what the characters were dealing with during the time period that the series is set in while trying to think outside of the box in how to treat their employees with respect and dignity. For instance, there is a scene where Don Draper is speaking to one of his female employees at his home regarding work related concerns and he insists on compensating her despite her reluctance to ask. There is then the character of joan harris who is called to deal with how to treat one of her employees with dignity when she is asked by bert cooper to move the employee to a less controversial spot. Joan harris is shown being naturally uncertain as to the best way to deal with the situation at first while taking care to treat the employee affected with dignity. The trailers that accompany this dvd set are for the following shoes; orange is the new black, weeds, Hannibal season 2, nurse Jackie, anger management, Houdini, manhattan, and epixdotcom. I plan to eventually purchase the boxed set version containing all of the mad men season series.

The huge cast of characters continues to surprise with various skirmishes and denouements, and as always the show's production design is a complete knockout!
Megan who is a store representative at the Eau Claire location continues to impress me with her passion for service, and enthusiasm when assisting me, and other customers. She is nothing short of a professional knockout! Best Buy's Wonder Woman.

Almost at a close, Mad Men still delivers. The first act of the final season has just as much drama and character development as the last 6 seasons. In a time where nothing was static, this show continues to move forward in new and intriguing ways as we head to 1970.

Partial Farewell to Mad Men

Mad Men remains one of the best television shows of all time, and even though it's frustrating that I'm going to have to buy two box sets for the final season, these 7 episodes are well worth owning.
