If you have played Madden then you already know. If not then Madden is Madden and its the best (and only) football game around. Unless you are into that Ultimate team stuff this one is just fine. No need for the G.O.A.T version.

I like Madden 18...not thrilled you have to buy PlayStation Plus to play it. Plus the commentary is too repetitive. I also don't like that the game doesn't recognize how many times you've won Superbowl..for example if you win 28 times in row and consecutive undefeated it should be able to know this...its simple code and programming. Plus the draft should produce instant superstars that start at ratings of 80-90+ to reflect megastars. Overall very good game but Madden continues the trend of underwhelming changes with each new installment. Why not have a better halftime...that gives highlights from the league, a Superbowl halftime show, they no longer show you who retires the player just vanishes, no longer name a Superbowl MVP...all disappointing but in the end it's Football!!!

...that hasn’t been said already?! If you enjoy football then you’re already purchasing this regardless. Either way, another solid entry into this franchise.

If you're a true Madden fan and just want the latest iteration it is fun enough. The "longshot" mode is incredibly short and MUT and grinding can be tedious. As far as game play very smooth and highly recommend that part.

Switched from ps3 to ps4 and needed an easy win. Kids love it. Graphics rock. Highly recommend. It’s the only place I can watch my Broncos win this season.

Great game as usual and EA has the sports games locked down. Minimal enhancements to last year‘s version but still not exactly the same game as previous.

Madden is what Madden is. I don't know how much more different the game can get, but it is fun to play and get the new rookies and rosters every year.

I've been playing madden since the beginning and I've skipped a few here and there thanks to rival games of the time or what have you(NFL 2K5 anyone?) Anyways, I got an email from Sony about my year in review and it said I played 142 hours of madden 18, and I've only had it since November. So apparently it's good, but why? Usually I'm a franchise player but this year's mode just didn't grab me like ultimate team did, I'd say of the 142 hours of madden 18, 120 of those hours were in MUT. Probably more to be honest. The reason I found MUT to be so enjoyable was the way progress was made, it felt like I could build a team without spending money and it wasn't a grind. Plus, the time spent playing the game was spent doing challenges instead of endless 3 minute quarter games. An example would be, you are down by 4 with 3 minutes left on the 50 yard line and you can only run the ball to win. These kept me coming back because I didn't have to commit to a 15 to 20 minute game. Another cool thing is the NFL legends in this mode. As far as graphics, the game looks beautiful with the new engine. Helmets shimmer in the sun, player faces look pretty accurate and the stadiums are stunning Gameplay is better than 16 for sure, but I never played 17 so I can't comment on that one. You can run the ball in a more realistic manner. Passing isn't as bad as 15. Commentary is fresh wirh weekly updates. What isn't good? The amount of weird fumbles, lack of realistic injuries, lack of franchise mode freshness and some odd crashes makes this a 4 star game. I'd rather play madden 07 for franchise. Mode Or NFL 2K5. Bottom line, if you want an addictive game of MUT with some very cool timed challenges(I do mean some sweet challenges too), pick it up for sure. However, if you want a franchise experience you can sink your teeth into, grab a retro console and get an older game of football. 8.1/10.

Between the Madden and the MLB the Show, these two games can't be beat for any athlete or sports fan....not to mention it helps improve your game

We like this game and it is a lot of fun. The graphics keep getting better each year. That being said, we wish that 2K was still able to make football games. The game is exactly what you would expect it to be.

My son thoroughly enjoys playing this game. Graphics are excellent, storyline is believable. The quality continues to surpass itself each year.

It was bought as a birthday gift to my son, who absolutely loved the game. It's well worth the purchase with the Gamer's Club discounted price.

This is the best madden game I’ve played yet. You shouldn’t have to be a ps member for all functions that that’s the only disappointing thing.

I actually like this years installment. The Frostbite engine looks good, although not as revolutionary as EA would have you believe, but I feel the major stride the title took is in the tackling and animation system. While there are still stupid moments here and there, it's a big improvement over past games in regards to momentum and hits. If you're on the fence, I say wait for a sale and give it a shot. In the end it's still the same Madden but small steps forward have been taken. Worth no more than $39.99 for a licensed football game to play either with friends, MUT or solo franchise.

Like many sport games series this continues to get better and improve as it ages. Added a few new online features and still great playability.

The AI is mich better this year. Long shot mode is corny but fun to play. Running the ball and throwing screens feels more realistic this year

this is a great upgrade from last year. they now have added a true story mode where you follow the life of a star. running is a bit easier too

The Madden game was everything as promised, though I am not a MUT fan. MUT is a feature that zaps money from people for no apparent reason.

New engine looks better than ever. Some frustrating online glitches keep in from a 5. Great strategy when you learn depth of gameplay. Defensive backs are more intelligent than ever, expect to throw ints.

Incredible graphics making it more realistic. Long shot has been a great addition as well letting you have more of a real life experience.
