I find this game very entertaining! There is just the right balance to action ratio! I don't have the time to play a game for hours. You will enjoy the graphics, gameplay, and action. The only issue that I have with this game is that sometimes it glitches. I have had it glitch on me twice. luckily it autosaves frequently.

Honestly, this game exceeded my expectations vastly. The game at times is repetitive when it comes to the grit and grunt of the game outside the glorious cinematics. The story is told in a way not done by games where there is a documentary feel and tone added for the gaming experience and fluidity to the game. Lincoln Clay is a strong protagonist with hubris and revenge filling his every action. The story missions are the best aspect of the game and it lasted me almost a good 60 hours (no joke). For that and the amazing storyline and graphically entertainign environment I highly recommend this game.

It's a great game but it gets pretty repetitive real fast, I hate driving all the way from one point to another. I would love to have a smaller city but more lively and less driving just to get to one point

This is a good game like GTA. Open world environment. You can drive cars, boats etc. sometimes killing is repetitive. I use the sneak attack approach A lot so that I don’t make sound to sound the alert. Nice storyline. Some history learned. Bought this for $7.99 at BBUY. Price was perfect. Can’t go wrong. On sale again this week & save 20 % with gamers club.

Open-World Game That Isn't So Open

I was excited to play the third game in this franchise, desperately hoping that they learned from the past and added stuff to do in the open world. However, Mafia III once again suffers from an open world that is void of anything outside of the story missions and Racket missions which get repetitive shortly after beginning the game. This is unfortunate because New Bordeaux is a beautiful place and it is a bit of a missed opportunity that they didn't fill it with more to do. The graphics are nothing short of terrible and the texture pop in/out is unbearable at times. There is no excuse for this in the current generation, especially when this game graphically reminds me of something that hit the shelves at the start of the Xbox 360's life cycle. The open world is huge, which leads to another issue, why is there no fast travel?!?! There is nothing more annoying that driving across the entire map after finishing a mission, just to talk to someone for 30 seconds, and then having to drive all the way back to where you started. Quite unacceptable if you ask me. It really is a shame that the game is lacking on so many levels, because the game truly shines during the main missions and the way the story is told truly makes you care about the main characters and the people in it. The cutscenes are superb and the voice acting is great as well. If this game was a 25-30 hour story without all the added on "side stuff" that feels uninventive and unnecessary, it would have been excellent, but as it stands now, save your money and pick this one up when it hits the bargain bin.

Great story, excellent job with the setting and background, but falls somewhat flat in execution. Advancing the story/game (by taking over rackets/districts) is beyond tedious, and the lack of fast travel guarantees you'll sink much more time into this game than should be necessary. Still, worth a playthrough, especially if you're interested in the DLC.

The game plays very well, and has a great story. The cast of characters is very is instantly likable and you really care about them. While the gameplay can get a bit on the repetitive side at times, it's still a lot of fun. I did experience several crashes while playing. Luckily, they were never during any story parts, and would just drop me back to the dashboard. Hopefully these get ironed out, but the game is still worth the playthrough.

I really want to like this game, I really do. The incredibly strong start gets you excited for a revenge story, only to completely hault any momentum by tasking you with repetitive missions pertaining to each district. You have to go through 3-5 task-based missions that repeat itself through each district in order for you to take control. It feels more like a grind which is unfortunate because the shooting and movement are pretty fun. The AI in this game is pretty bad too, you either have AI just standing idley by as you mow down their comrades or they hound on you like they've got nothing to lose. The world provides the illusion of liveliness but ultimately lacks depth once you realize that there really isn't anything to do. If they took their time to truly craft an engaging world and made the effort to create more unique story missions this game easily could have been a 5 star title, but the hiccups and grind really puts a damper on an otherwise great story.

The series has always lacked an open world and this one has it. Although it feels like it was added just to say it's open. Exploration is not as rewarding as a majority of open world games. But you buy this series for the story and the driving and it does not disappoint in that area. Graphics are great but I do have mixed feelings about fighting the mafia unlike the other 2 were you work your way up.

I love the setting of this game, the cars and the music. I really like Lincoln Clay's character and understand why he's doing what he's doing. But the one thing I don't like is how repetitive it is. After awhile it seems like you're doing the same types of missions over and over. I hope in a future update they make this game more open world with different types of missions and things to do.

Picked up for $9 because I'm from Louisiana and any game set in New Orleans is always interesting. Game has average graphic and mindless gameplay but overall isn't that bad. I like the setting of the 1960s and grand theft auto style gameplay makes for some enjoyable experiences. Of course comparing it to grand theft auto makes it look like a bad clone but that aside its actually fun. Would recommend if you find it on sale and enjoy the setting/gameplay.

Mafia 3’s strong characters and confident storytelling kept me engaged and the Vietnam War era music was awesome to hear in a modern day game.
