The movie looks amazing in 4K but the movie itself is just okay.

A refreshing take on a Disney classic where we are able to learn about the villain! I wish Disney would make more films like this...Angelina is stunning in the makeup and costumes. This film as some great classic fantasy shots, good acting, and a good story line to go along with it! Looks great on Blue-ray. Been putting off buying this since I saw it in theaters, so I thought quarantine would be the perfect timing to enjoy again! My boyfriend even liked it.

A spin of an Old Tale Sleeping Beauty spun in a new fashion, told with modern cinematography, CGI and accompanied by a competent and spirited sound track that is at times a bit dark. The 7.1 sound effects presents “racking” realism – you are there in the middle-of-it and it’s real because it sounds real! The film incorporates extensive use of CGI with striking visual effects which could be freighting to a young child – the films rating really should be PG-13 vice PG – images of hideous animal like “tree soldiers” and an “extended” fire-spitting dragon scene may be too much for a young child.

Love Maleficent. The sweet fairy becomes evil. But throughout her villian years she overcome the emotions of loving a child, a human child which she gave the sleeping beauty curse to. When the curse happens to the child before her 16th birthday. Maleficent is racked with guilt and tries to break the curse. Maleficent loves the child as her own and breaks the curse with the love of being her mother in a way. The film ends beautifully for the next film to be continued

This is a good Twist on an old Disney classic Sleeping Beauty. Anyone who's seen the old classic Disney cartoon version of Sleeping Beauty knows that Maleficent was the evil queen witch who put the curse on Sleeping Beauty. Yeah here they took it to a step further what if Maleficent was misunderstood and was actually a fairy who was betrayed. She was betrayed by none other than Aurora AKA Sleeping Beauty's father King Stefan. Who took Maleficent's wings and created the evil Maleficent who put the curse on Sleeping Beauty. As Maleficent watched Aurora AKA Sleeping Beauty grow up she grew fond of her learn to care about her love her and her whole attitude changed it's a great twist a role that Angelina Jolie was meant to play. I would recommend this film for adults and kids of all ages it's a great sit down rating game movie to just enjoy.

Good story line with this one brings the character to life.

Wow! This movie is awesome! Just saw it last night and it was much better than I anticipated. The effects and visuals are great, the acting is great and the storyline has a few unexpected twists that make it so much more up to date and refreshing. My young niece said it was the best movie ever! Good for boys as well though, with dragons, creatures and fight scenes as well as a bit of tongue in cheek comedy. It also carries a subtle yet strong message with. it Will become a classic for sure, along the lines of the movies Wizard of Oz and Willy Wonka (the original one).

Great movie, great cast. I couldn't think of anyone better to play Maleficent and chances are, you can't either. The physical purchase is exactly what you would think it would be, 2 discs stuffed in a box, one for Blu-Ray, one for DVD. You also get the code for a digital copy. I personally haven't tried the code yet to see if it is Ultra-Violet compatible, or if it will be a Disney-only digital release. Sometimes they do that, sometimes they don't. The movie itself - You already know the story of Sleeping Beauty, now you just see it from a different point of view.

Good movie to watch. Great buy with DVD, BD, and digital copy.

Bought to add to my Disney collection and found it on sale.

this is a pretty good movie that has a nice steelbook

He is a move I did not think much about caring to see for various reasons. One is I’m not a Jolie fan. So since I watched this, I think they did a great job putting a spin on the original sleeping beauty classic. I have to admit that Jolie did a great job as well. This is one of the few movies I can watch over again and again with my children. It is still touching after seeing 4 times. So well written. Thumbs up now in 4K.

I bought this gift as a Christmas gift for my child

Maleficent is a remake of the Disney classic "Sleeping Beauty." I assumed that I knew what it was going to be about but, it turned out to be a totally unpredictable and amazing movie. Maleficent is about a betrayed fairy (Angelina Jolie) that curses the king's infant daughter Aurora as revenge. She soon discovers that when Aurora grows up, she is the only one who can restore the peace and happiness that everyone needs to get them out of the depression caused by revenge and war. This movie takes "Sleeping Beauty" and turns it into a completely different movie.

So the wicked witch isn't wicked???? But has a heart?

The movie was better than expected. Worth watching.

Good plot definitely a must see for a Disney move.

this movie is pretty good. My kids really like to watch it.

Good movie. I bought it so I could see the sequel
