Angelina Jolie was perfect for the role of Maleficent. The movie was both touching and breathtaking to watch. This is a great live adaptation of the Disney classic, one of the best in that category. This 4k steelbook is amazing with wonderful artwork all around and the 4k quality shines. You can't get a better experience.

Disney pulls all stops and soars above their past productions - Angelina is the magnificent Maleficent! Story content is great for all ages. Encourages strength and bents toward good rather than evil. Don't just "pass it by" because it seems geared to the young - take time and appreciate the film, what it takes for our enjoyment and yet much like fables and fiction can still be meaningful even in this day and age!

Good spin on the character. FYI I'm not going to critique it technically. I'm going to review it in accordance with my goal for the movie: family fun. If you are facing this movie in a serious manor, you probably want to look somewhere else. Otherwise, I think this movie contains the Disney Magic to satisfy those looking for a fun and visually stunning movie. I am not a fan of Jolie, but she does the movie good.

I got a good price on the Blu-Ray and decided to buy it. It was a much better movie than I had anticipated. The effects were incredible and the story had a decent twist or two from the classic and the characters were, for the most part, very good. Anyway, I enjoyed this flick quite a bit. It is definitely worth watching, even if you just rent or stream it.

This was a movie that caught me by surprise, and I found that I liked it much more than I was expecting. I normally don't like Angelina Jolie however in this movie, I found that she has the perfect look, demeanor, and skills to play this role. So why only four stars, because if if you one of those people who hold the original adaptation dear to your hearts you may not like how this story was basically re-written. I personally loved it and thought visually the movie was gorgeous, and unique with a more than one good plot twist. I would recommend this movie for people who are able to go into the movie open minded and not regulated to the old Disney movie of past.

It is amazing how Disney can revisit and remake it's own movies. Once Upon a Time goes from StoryBrook and revisits "Sleeping Beauty". (Spoiler Alert) I grew up with the original, and thoroughly enjoyed the retelling of the story, particularly with the act of "true love" being Maleficent and not Price Phillip. Good movie for most, with a few scary and brutal moments, including the clipping of fairy wings.

My husband & I are big Angelina Jolie fans, so when it was advertised for $9.99 for Black Friday, I had to jump on it! Apparently, a lot of internet shoppers thought the same thing, coz it was already out of stock online, even before Black Friday sale started! I ended going to the store & was lucky coz there were less than 5 left on shelf. Movie was awesome, but the $9.99 pricetag was even awesome-er!!!

Great ready to see a whole side of the tale of sleeping beauty. For all of us who knew about the fairy tale were about to see it in a whole different way. Now we see it from the dark side of the view. Maleficient is about to tell her side of the story. For it will shock you and it would probably lead you to a whole new surprise. My boyfriend and I saw this movie in the theaters and we saw this fairy tale in a whole different way. We saw villain that will lead to a while new element of villains. Not only do they come with a price but they also come with a surprise. Get ready to see maleficient and a whole new part of the fairy tale of sleeping beauty.

This movie takes the classic story of Sleeping Beauty and tells it from Malificents perspective if the "good guys" weren't as good as you had believed they were. While I still love the original this movie is still worth watching. It's a 2K upscale like all Disney releases and includes a digital Movies Anywhere code.

Best buy has one of our favorite disney movies in stock. You also have it at the best price with blu-ray and digital copy included. Disney movies seldomly go on sale and i was able to shop online. Within a couple hours, i was able to drive to a local best buy to have curb side pick up.

Disney Villian isn't something one would ever thing Angelina Jolie of having on her resume at this point in her career but she was able to carry the movie no question! Her acting is among some of her best work for her dramatic skills. Not Academy award material but she was committed to the part enough to sell it as only she could and made it an interesting addition to the Sleepy Beauty franchise.

This movie has a fantastic spin on the story behind Maleficent in much the same way that "wicked" did for the wicked witch of the west. The CGI and costuming in this are stunning. This film is truly a feast for the eyes. It is also family friendly. I was worried my it may be scary for my 4 year old when i saw some of the previews but after previewing it, I'm happy to announce it's safe for all ages.

Starting with Frozen, Disney has done a remarkable job making us love misunderstood villains. From the Ice Queen Elsa to Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent, Disney has shifted the focus on how the villains became one in re-telling these classic children stories. Often misunderstood but with great love, they are transformed. Wonderful! My kids love playing this movie over and over and over... Thumbs up!

This is one beautiful movie...it follows the 1959 Disney Classic pretty faithfully, but tells it from another POV....the cinematography and special effects are out of this world....Angelina Jolie is by far the reason to watch this movie, she brings something to the role of Maleficent that no one else can....overall this is a great movie, though I would not show it to anyone under the age of 12.

Great Disney Movie, Very good storyline and filmed with special effects that are A+A+A+A+A+, Great sound track!, The story of Maleficent and her world and interaction with the human world is so real. The surprise ending was a surprise and not like original Snow White. Angelina plays Maleficent as one of her best roles ever ! Be watching movie again !! A must buy for fanatsay and even sci fi fans.

I was unsure if I was going to like this movie after I bought it so I rented from redbox before I opened so i could return if I didn't like. I loved it!!! Great story and anglelina Jolie was great as maleficent. A lot of action. May be a little scary for little ones bc maleficent is kind of frightening with the horns and wings. I would say buy this because you will watch over and over for sure!

I loved the movie in theatres, and I knew as soon as it came out I would own it. I was really happy that Disney didn't skimp on the bonus features; there are some cool behind-the-scenes videos, and some explanations by the writers about the decisions they made in the script. After being completely let down by the (complete lack of) Frozen bonus features, I was very happy with this purchase.

The movie is fine. I guess I was a bit distracted watching it, but it didn’t hold my attention enough to follow the story. Not an easy retcon to make Maleficent likable...

We've been waiting for this to hit the store shelves. For those of you familiar with the Disney animated Sleeping Beauty get ready for something entirely new. Don't expect a live action retelling of the fairy tale because this one takes on a life of its own. You think you know who the evil one is? Take another guess! Be ready for an unexpected twist at the end that will leave you spellbound.

I've been buying all my discs with the bluray/DVD/digital copy included and have never been happier. It was easy to redeem and we were watching in minutes with my apple TV. One for the shelf, one for tmy mobile DVD player, and one for my digital home theater. Worth the couple extra bucks to have all three copies. The best Disney live action movie I have seen, Angelina was perfectly casted.
