The movie has little in the way of dialogue, but the use of vivid color and imagination brings a new twist to a timeless story. While the story isn't funny, there are plenty of moments where you will find yourself smiling or laughing softly at the interaction between characters and scenes. This is a feel good movie to cheer you up on a grumpy day.

This is by far Angelina Jolie's best film to date. every thing imaginable is done so well in this film. especially all the visual effects and CGI. great acting a plus in this film as well. the special effects were great and odd creatures in the Moors and pint-sized fairy godmothers were awesome and other creatures, plus shape-shifting ravens and dragons cast a supreme way of giving a special effect of magic for the kids. My wife and I are kids at heart and love every Disney movie and they did a great job entertaining every age group.

My husband & I both Loved this film!! The scenes are out of this world! You can get lost in the beauty. There's a good range of emotions from joy to sadness & Grand warmth of heart!! We don't care for Angelina Jolie, but we got lost in the movie, and this was actually her best in our opinion! So glad we bought it so we can watch it again & again!!

Disney's Sleeping Beauty is my all time favorite Disney movie so I was hesitant on this version but ended up loving the movie. It puts a very different spin on the tale but nonetheless interesting and a good story on it's own. If you are a die hard Disney Villain fan where you want the villains to remain a villain, you may not like this version.

This movie was great. I went into it thinking I knew the story, but I soon realized that it was a reimagining and was very engaging. The acting on Jolie's part is very good, making you root for the perceived villain throughout the film. It has an ending that satisfies the viewer and leaves you with a great feeling. My wife and daughter love it.

Angelina Jolie was excellent in her role. She was funny and loving. A great spin off from sleeping beauty. I thought it was going to be in 3D but oh well I loved it any way. My grandchildren have watched it three times. Elle Fanning was great as Aurora the Princess and lets not forget the little 5 year old who played Princess Aurora. (how sweet)

The Disney Maleficent DVD is great. I saw this movie at the theater when it came out and really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed watching the blu-ray DVD. Best Buy had a great price on this combo blu-ray/dvd/digital hd copy. Angelina Jolie is at her best in this role. This is one to watch again and again. The kids will love it and the grownups too.

For being a very critical person and completely out of my genre of movie, this movie has become in my top favorite movie of all times. If you like all aspects of the magical world of movies. "Maleficent" has it all. Genius story,directing,acting,visual effects,etc. The emotions are very intense. I highly recommend this fantastic piece of art.

Disney releases ho-hum kiddie movies and then they release movies anyone can enjoy. Maleficent falls into the latter category. This is a smart and inventive "reverse" take on the Sleeping Beauty classic where we learn that Maleficent isn't as malevolent as we had thought for all these years. As usual, a perfect Disney Blu Ray hi-def transfer.

My family loved this movie. This follow up to the original really adds to the story. Beautiful colors and several great performances from all the ladies. I would not be surprised that leads to another one in a year or so if Angelina wants to reprise her role again.

Watching the movie on a TV as opposed to a large theater movie screen was still a great visual experience. It was still very enjoyable and fun to watch for all of us. The movie was crisp and the colours vibrant when appropriate and the darks showed well on the screen. I have a 60 inch Samsung and the quality to watch the movie was excellent.

Maleficent is definitely different from Sleeping Beauty. (Even the fairies have different names.) The movie is great and it was nice to see a different side of Maleficent. Sleeping Beauty is by far my favorite Disney Princess movie and I still loved Maleficent. If you liked the remake of Alice in Wonderland, you will love this movie as well!

I loved loved loved this movie! I have always been partial to fairy tales, and Sleeping Beauty in particular. Maleficent was played well by AJ, and the costumes and special effects were brilliant in blu-ray! Overall, a great movie. Also, it wasn't as "dark/scary" as I was expecting, so it was great with a 7 year old to watch with as well.

We were pleasantly surprised by Maleficent. My husband, 13 year old daughter and I watched it together and would definitely recommend it for families of a little older children. I think there are parts in the movie that might scare younger children. If you want to have a nice family evening with your older children, this is a great movie.

We saw this in the theaters with our 6 year old daughter who was a huge fan of Sleeping Beauty. She loved this movie! We bought this on bluray the day it came out and she's watched it several times since. Its a great story and a great twist to the character of maleficent. Good acting! Great action and great effects! Big fan of this film!

I got maleficent for myself because I was not sure how scary it was, I took it home and to my surprise I was able to watch it with my 7 year old daughter and she didn't have any nightmares. There is even a code inside so if you go to disneymovies.com you can enter the code and get the movie on your tablet or pc to watch on the go.

"Maleficent" is a much deeper version of the good old Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. You're in for a mixed bag of humor and horror, reality and fantasy, and good and evil. Some may find the movie on the dark side even though there are funny parts to make you laugh. The smaller children may find themselves mixed up over which character is good and which is evil. If in doubt, see the film youself and then make the decision of it's appropriate for YOUR kids. After all, who knows your kids best. As for adults I find this film wonderfully enjoyable.

I had been waiting to purchase this movie since it was in the theature. I was super excited to see the Blu-Ray edition with the extra disc for 19.99. I immediately snatched my copy and checked out! I'm super happy with the price, availability and the thrill of this purchase. I always check my Best Buy first for games, movies and gear.
