I actually watched this in theaters with family. We enjoyed this so much we purchased it for home as well. I love how this move puts a spin on the classic sleepy beauty movie with out actually destroying the original that so many movie have been doing lately. They really tie these stories in well together.

I felt that a back story to Maleficent was a fantastic idea and the fact is that this movie pulls it off. Angelina Jolie gives Maleficent the strength and emotion to believe her reasons for turning evil. I feel it is movie that will appeal to slightly older kids and adults due to some of the scenes. Enjoy!

My wife wanted this movie. I did not think I would like it, but was completely surprised. This new story line actually makes you feel bad for Maleficent as you go deeper into her back story & find out why she became filled with hatred in this live action version of Sleeping Beauty. Highly recommended!!!

Angelina Jolie does a fine job being both villain and hero. It does a great job of showing mans selfishness , petty struggles for power over others , and fear of what they do not want to try to understand.

This movies was much different and much better than I expected. The storyline was new and pleasntly entertaining. Another slightly darker more realistic chain of events film for Disney. he graphics were great and the whole film quality was great overall. By far my new favorite version of Sleeping Beauty.

was looking for this dvd great price but you did not carry or able to order malificent mistress of the dark cd movie sountrack,i would of purchased it if you did.i collect disney dvd an cd movie soundtracks but you did not carry it

I have watched this in Blu-ray and have to admit, the graphics are amazing in this movie. Plot twist was a pleasant surprise. I was worried this was going to be too dark for my kid to watch, but he loved it! We've watched it the last two nights. And each time I catch little comical adders. Great movie.

I was glad to find that the movie had a different approach than the regular sleeping beauty history. Enjoyed it. I thnik though that Angelina Jolie dindt perform that well as in other movies. Th bad is that to get yhe digital copy you must create a Disney account and accept to receive promotional emails and accept that your information will be shared at their commercial convenience. Too bad. Then digital copy is not really included in your purchase as you need to agree disney conditions....

I was completely fix to the movie it was so different then the Sleeping Beauty story we all came to love as kids, this took such a turn that it throw's you off just to who is eventual the good fairly. That evil always lose's to the good whether it be a person or the personally of that person them self.

This movie was absolutely fantastic and a "must see" in my opinion. It is not a child's movie. Maleficent is a remake of the Disney classic "Sleeping Beauty." Great movie for the whole family to watch. Angelina Jolie does a great job as the lead actress. One of her better movies to come out in awhile.

This may very well be Angelina's best work. The movie on the surface is entertaining to children with an alternative perspective to an age old tale. The underlying story has deep meaning of empowerment for women and that you don't have to be a victim, even when deceived and wronged. Love conquers all.

I saw this movie not long ago and I couldn't wait to see the next movie that did follow "Mafeficent: Mistress of Evil. This movies was well done. I am so fond of movies that capture heart which shows love and kind towards others.

Saw this movie in the theater, so I knew once it came out I was going to buy it. Wanted the blue ray combo pack you had it for $19.99 which I thought was a great price. But then I had an additional mystery $ off offer combined the movie was $14.99 + tax ...so i got great movie and an even better price

The movie has a little bit of everything for the viewers. Angelina's striking presence, action, darkness a bit of humor and a great storyline that is backed by a tale told by the original beauty and the beast. Angelina Jolie really knows how to put together he roles as she only gets better with age.

This movie I bought for me! Yes, I bought something for me! I did not make it to the theater to see Maleficent but really wanted to see the movie. I was not disappointed at all! Loved the movie! Now I own it & can watch it over & over.

I liked the original story of sleeping beauty but didnt love it. Disney did a great job on this retelling of the story. The bluray video quality is fantastic as most disney films tend yo be and the audio in 7.1dts is also a pleasure on the ears. Definitely pick this one up for your bluray collection

Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It tells the story of Sleeping Beauty from a very interesting perspective. Well acted throughout with outstanding special effects. Characters were well developed and endearing. A little scary for one of my 2-year-old grandaughters but the other can't get enough of it.

An amazing twist on an old story of Sleeping Beauty as told by the "villain". Great behind the scenes look at the familiar story that many of us grew up with. The good thing is it is a plausible twist and good for all involved. I love the classic animated story, but I think this is my new favorite.

"Maleficent" does for "Sleeping Beauty" what "Wicked" did for "The Wizard of Oz." Real storytelling. Clever. Cinematically engrossing. And just plain fun. The trailers looked darker than this really is; I would recommend it as a good balance for the entire family. No one will be bored (even dad).

Kinda wish that some of the other Disney Live actions were like this where the movie is from a different point of view. I really liked this, more than I thought I would. Absolutely stunning in 4k and very immersive audio!
