It's silly fantasy nonsense and that's what I love about it.

The first Maleficent was a retelling of Sleeping Beauty. It explained why Maleficent was the way she was - about deception and betrayal. The sequel takes it a bit further and even tells of the origins of Maleficent and her people. The Fey. You find that she really isn't evil at all. The film brings back Elle Fanning as Aurora and Sam Riley as Diaval. Plus, we have Michelle Pfieffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ed Skrein, and others. You should get this film!

Maleficent was a really good movie portrayed by Angelina Jolie. The twist was seeing if from maleficent eyes on how she could possibly curse Aurora due to her father's negligence and also how she fell in love with Aurora AKA sleeping beauty. And maleficent Mistress of evil, Aurora is planning on getting married to a prince. However maleficent doesn't agree with it and she doesn't want her to get married.The nice twist is the queen is played by a great actress Michelle Pfeiffer. You have probably two of the top screen Queens playing next to each other.here you find out maleficent's true evil but you also find out how far she's willing to go to protect the Aurora as well as figuring out how to protect our own kind. Maleficent Mistress of evil is a great add-on if you have the original Maleficent.

This movie is dark compared to the first movie but it's an improvement on the first film, in the end, and an encouraging rallying cry against fear and intolerance. It has a lot of live action, magic and of course a building war between the magical moor folks and humans. You get transported to the elaborate world of Maleficent that has enough visual stunning effects and action to keep you entertained.

In Mistress of Evil, Maleficent is found facing a new challenge. In the 5 years after the first film with king Stefan dead, Aurora has reigned as Queen of the Moors, while the new king of Ulstead, John (father of prince Phillip) with his queen Ingrith are still at odds with the fairy kingdom. However, the wedding of Aurora and Phillip is in the making and a celebration feast is to be held in the castle and Maleficent is invited. Unknown to all, the real evil queen is Ingrith, who is having a stock pile of iron weapons being made to war against the fairies. Blinded by love, and lack of discernment, Aurora doesn't listen to the advise of her godmother and the war eventually begins between the 2 kingdoms. A sub-plot of an ancient prophesy reveals what the eventual outcome will be in this epic conflict of good vs. evil. The story is not as good as the first film, but without that information it is still a good fantasy action adventure.

If you need something that satisfies the romantic, the fantasy person, the action person and also the little ones, this movie is for you! Jam packed with lots of adventure, this movie allows for the stores after sleeping beauty wakes up from her slumber and the next chapter of her life. Filled with lots of twists and turns, one magical movie that won’t disappoint!

Really great second outing of the Maleficent story. The care of an adopted mother, her family origins, the struggle of good over evil, anti-hero at large, action, struggle and success are all part of the story where you are totally drawn into a different world and an observing participant. Really loved it in Dolby Atmos the audio and visual are exceptional!!

Maleficent was a good movie, but I was hoping for more creatures and better battle scenes. This sequel delivers, the creatures, the story, and the battle scenes are amazing. In addition this sequel can stand alone although the first one provides a better background to the story. This movie made me feel for the evil witch I once his from. A true must see.

The graphics in this movie are amazing in 4k. I enjoyed the story line and I think I liked this movie more than the first. That’s always a pleasant surprise for a sequel. Maleficent is great, can’t get enough of her. And I would love a whole spinoff movie/ series of movies featuring a new “civilization” featured in the movie, if you know what I mean.

When we bought the first Malificent, we hadn't a clue that the sequel would be made, We both agree, that is, my wife and I, that the second movie was better then the first. We love visiting the local Best Buy...,it's all of six minutes away, so we always shop there. We give all of our needs for the home to our favorite place...Best Buy. Awesome!!! Rock on!!! My wife and I really liked the original Maleficent. We are always concerned when sequels come out since so many are cash grabs without any real merit. This is NOT a cash grab. We enjoyed this just as much as we enjoyed the original. The characters evolve. Good music and visual effects. The cast delivers solid performances. Really enjoyed this movie!

This sequel is so good, to me better than the first movie. Michelle Pfeiffer is dazzling as the "evil" Mom-in Law to be. I like seeing the other fairies like Maleficent, and the final scene when she is flying with the young ones makes me happy. A great movie, a little violent for very young children, however.

I enjoyed this movie very much. I thought it was another great movie in the line of Disney movies. I thought that all of the actors did a great job and I also thought that the special effects were great. I would recommend this movie to anyone who wants a movie that the whole family can enjoy together.

This movie really impressed me because I enjoyed the first one so much. Angie Jolie and the other main girl (the blond) they were perfect for these parts, they performed very well and made the second movie just as enjoyable as the first one if not alittle bit more. I would definitely recommend purchasing if you have children or just enjoy a good wholesome movie with a few twists and turns :)

How can you go wrong with Disney. This Disney classic is a must for your movie collection, Angela Jolie is flawless in her performance as well as Michelle Phifer in her role as the evil step mother. The message is how we can all come together regardless of race, creed or color to live in peace

This sequel, in my opinion, is better than the original. My problem with the original was the ending. It just did not fit with my understanding of the characters, especially compared to the original, animated version. However, the sequel is a new story and, after accepting the Maleficent/Princess relationship, stays true to its characters. Both Angelina Jolie and Michelle Phifer have a great time playing bad and they play it well. There's great fun to be had here. Give it a try even if you had problems with the first venture as I did.

As far as sequels go, there are only a small handful that are better than the original. Empire and T2 being at the top of that list. But this 2nd Maleficent movie is surprisingly good and has wonderful visual effects. I recommend it for the story and cinematography. Enjoy!

The movie is very entertaining and the story is very good. The design of the characters and the world is fantastical as is the cast. If you manage to find the Steelbook, it is stunning in design and goes perfectly with the one released for the first movie. Overall a great movie that is sure to remain a favorite.

Great movie. Especially watching in 4K on my monster size tv. The colors were awesome. And the scenery and background were so amazing. You will totally love this movie. If you haven't seen it yet. Then you must get to the store and buy it for your collection. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. So get to best buy right away. And get yours. And I'm sure you will love it as much as i did.
