Manchester By The Sea deals with tragedy, loss, and the struggle of moving on with life after dealing with the loss the main character had gone through. Filled with amazing performances and a very heart-felt, and heartbreaking story, this is one movie worth checking out.

I didn’t know what to expect when I watched this movie, but it was very well acted with great characters and a great storyline.

Manchester by the Sea is a film that deals in grief like very few others can. It shows that life doesn't just stop when bad things happen. People continue to people, they are funny, they make mistakes, and they all deal with loss in different ways. A fantastic film.

affleck does a good job portraying his charachter(acad. award),the movie moved a lil slow for me,however was interesting as well as entertaining

I had heard what people had previously said about this film: "Oh, it's too long, too depressing," etc. It is a an emotionally powerful film that I think everyone should see at least once. Human experience and suffering laid bare on a visual canvas. Truly masterful.

one of those movies you have to watch. great for a home theater date night. Enjoy your own comfort and popcorn. it is slow and intense.

Enjoyed watching a movie about real life for a change, but wished it had a better ending :( (I know life doesn't always have a happy ending)

Lead character struggles with guilt after tragic family event happens. Movie ends on a hopeful note but leaves viewer with no real closure.

This movie was kinda depressing at the beginning but as the movie went on, the depressing part faded and then it all made sense at the end.

Movie is true to life. It has the ups and downs of what people really go through with drinking, loss of loved ones and the real pain felt.

This film should've won the Oscar Manchester by the sea was a wonderful film put together. the acting is great the cinematography is beautiful the storyline is sad but it's Great story on life it's good I would recommend this I would think it would be PG 13

Casey Afleck does an amazing job. Always love him and this makes it even better, it won awards for a very good reason!

While not all oscar nominees get my attention I was really looking forward to this one. The acting was superb and lived up to the hype.

After the death of his older brother Joe (Kyle Chandler), Lee Chandler (Casey Affleck) is shocked to learn that Joe has made him sole guardian of his nephew Patrick (Lucas Hedges). job, Lee reluctantly returns to Manchester-by-the-Sea to care for Patrick.

I truly enjoyed this movie. It established great character growth throughout. Some might find it slow and boring but I loved it!

This movie had an interesting story and had very good acting. The story, however, is very sad. The location shots were very beautiful.

This film easily should have won the Best Picture Oscar. One of the best of 2016, and even one of the best of this decade. A worth while watch, and excellent acting throughout that makes you forget you're watching a movie, and brings you into the world.
