Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the Compact Advanced Smart 65" Tripod's sturdiness, lightweight design, and affordability. Many appreciate its compact size, convenient for portability. However, some users point out the lack of a built-in level and find the handles somewhat awkward to use. A few also mention challenges with leg extension and panning smoothness.

My inexpensive 20year old tripod finally fell apart so I needed something new, we have a nice Manfrotto at work and I already own a monopod made by them. I like Manfrotto products in general and this tripod is no exception. Light and compact enough to carry around but sturdy enough to support my camers with a telephoto, the phone adapter is a nice bonus. Well made I expect it will last for years.

Let me start off by saying I’m a “prosumer” videographer and photographer who used to hate tripods. This one however, is light, easy to use, built well, and relatively cheap. As I shoot mostly handheld, I didn’t want to invest in an expensive tripod, but I also didn’t want to throw my money away. If you just need “a” tripod, this is a great option. It’s definitely not super pro, but it’s not a toy either. I’d recommend it.

I never thought I would be able to get such a nice tripod that was in my price range but I was wrong. I am disabled and I am in a motorized wheelchair. I wanted something that was compact yet was very sturdy when I set it up and this checks all the boxes. Just waiting for warmer weather to get out and take lots of photos.

If you are looking for a lightweight tripod that is easy to carry around, particularly when traveling, this is a good choice. It is lightweight, folds into a compact travel case and extends to full-size in seconds. It isn't as smooth as a fluid head tripod, but with a little care, it's possible to make smooth pans. It is easy to adjust in all three directions using the two handles. It has a high-quality feel, which is what one would expect from Manfrotto.

It's a Manfrotto, so it's good quality. It's a little more flimsy than a better model that I also own, but it was half the price. The "flip" switches that extend the tubes are fine, but I prefer the rotating kind. it's nice that it came with an iPhone holder, which is the video camera of choice more and more these days.

Very sturdy and light. Even with camera mounted, easily carried with little effort. I like the Mafrotto quick release mount, especially as I have another Manfrotto unit. I would be much happier if it also had a ball mount, or it I could interchange the ball mount from my other tripod.

It’s a little pricier than your generic basic tripod, but you get what you pay for. This one is really for those that are a little past beginner photography and the yearly holiday family pic. It is built solid with no wobbles. It also has a good height reach and it is light. My other generic one wobbles in the wind especially during night photos.

You know how everyone started filming their own videos once the pandemic hit? You might have heard about it. Well, that also meant everyone was buying up all the equipment you need to do that. We had a client who needed to do an interview with a C-level person, and because of Covid, we couldn't film. But they could, because of where they were. But...they were going to shoot it handheld. Nope. A quick look online showed that a Best Buy near the client had just one of these left, thankfully. Oh, what about the actual item? It's really nice, honestly, for a quick, no investigation buy. The handling on the headset is smooth, the iPhone mount is nice so you don't have to search for one, and the adjustments make this work perfectly for what they needed. All in all, Best Buy made this possible, and the tripod brought it all home.

Great little tripod that is compact and feels very sturdy. This is just what I needed for my long exposures with my DSLR cameras. Just make sure you stay within the weight limit so you don't damage or break your gear. Love the fact that it comes with the cell phone mount and carrying bag. Great deal.

When it comes to photography gear you pretty much get what you pay for...sometimes. But I honestly have to say that this particular product exceeded my expectations. What a great tripod!! It’s strong and well built. Sturdy and checks all the boxes for what I need. The brand is reputable without a doubt but you can be sure that for all around photography this will meet your needs. As far as making the purchase Best Buy customer service was easy and seamless from ordering to curbside pickup. Friendly staff that actually asked if there was anything else I needed. Rare these days. Thank you Best Buy. I will see you tomorrow as I am making a couple purchases for a Sony a7iii and a couple lenses. Any discount you can help me with is greatly appreciated. I recently had my gear stolen and I am trying to put together a reasonable setup ASAP. Thank you

This tripod is SO sturdy and light at the same time. I used mine for light painting and it was very windy outside, but this tripod held up to it. I love taking photographs in portrait mode and this tripod allows me to do it with no difficulties. I do wish, though, that they had the adjusting bars in opposite sides of each other, because it becomes difficult to tighten or loosen them.

Manfrotto compact tripod works great for a full frame mirrorless camera. Adjustments in tripod height and tilting are easy to make and the tripod is very stable despite being lightweight. The phone accessory mount is a nice added bonus

I was looking for a light and transportable tripod for travel and this one fit the bill. It’s quick to setup and break down. I haven’t used it much outdoors so we’ll see how sturdy it is in the elements but so far indoors it’s been perfectly fine. One downside is there’s no level built in but most cameras have them on the displays now anyway.

Starting out, I didn't want to spend too much money on a high-end tripod, but I also knew I wanted to get a Manfrotto. The Compact Advanced Smart was able to fill those two requirements. It's been a helpful and effective companion as I start working on photography!

A great camera tripod that’s light and compact as well as very sturdy. Figuring out the way the controls work is a little awkward at first but if you loosen up the top arm you can swing it to the right to actually get the control you need for this tripod.

I had a difficult time using it in the beginning because the grips were so close together. After watching a video I found that the top one swivels to the right. That made all the difference! It’s compact. It’s light. It comes with a carrying bag and an adapter for cell phones. Great tripod

This product was a great addition to my camera supplies. This is easy to use, lightweight and very versatile. And the addition of the cellphone camera mounting capability is a plus as well!!! Very fair price as well when compared to other tripods that I researched!
