No Anthony Hopkins wasn't the first hannibal lecter, Brian Cox was. Hannibal lecter fans would want to check out Michael Manns stylish adaptation of Red Dragon. Tom noonan is creepy and terrifying personified, check this out!

it definately took m e a long time to find this quirky little gem of a movie. it was the first time seeing hannibal leckter from Silence Of The Lambs..It was enjoyable when it came out and still enjoyable now.

I am so thankful that Shout Factory! has released Manhunter on Bluray. Everyone is familiar with The Silence of the Lambs but I adore Manhunter. It definitely holds up very well and can stand on it's own. Highly recommended!

It's the original Hannibal Lector with a totally 80's Miami Vice feel to it. And that's a good thing. A great thing in fact. I love this movie.

This Collector's Edition sports the same excellent transfer found on the MGM barebones Blu-ray. What distinguishes it, however, are the special features. If you like this film, this edition is a must-own. Recommended!

A little seen and heard film and the best film version of the Red Dragon story. Brian Cox is awesome as Hannibal. With excellent performances from Noonan and Peterson. A must see movie and Michael Mann classic!

Scream Factory's release of Manhunter is a must buy for any collector! If this is your first time watching the film I would recommend watching the theatrical cut before moving on to the directors cut.

Great original story of serial killer Hannibal Lecktor and the Tooth fairy. This special edition 2 disk blu ray set is loaded with special features and looks / sounds incredible . Must buy.

I have seen this movie about 20 years ago. Loved it then and still love it. When I was in a Best Buy looking at movies I came across this blue ray had to grab it. You won't be disappointed.

A great film by Michael Mann, also the first time Hannibal Lecktor shows up in film. The director's cut on the second disc is a great improvement over the original DVD release.

I really liked this movie very much as it showed off Hannibals' wicked iner self and how he thinks. He's much more devious in his infancy.

In order to catch the killer, he must get advice from Hannibal Lector.

And this is no exception. I think I have owned everyone of the versions of this film on VHS, DVD, and now BLU RAY. Do I like enjoy this is an understatement, buy it.

I've been on a bit of a Hannibal kick lately (watching the show), and it's been a while since I last watched Manhunter. Maybe not since I saw Red Dragon, the not quite as good version. Scream Factory put together a really nice package here, and Tom Noonan is still the creepiest Tooth Fairy.
